In this role, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative solutions.\nLead the design and execution of control and automation systems for industrial projects.\nDevelop instrumentation and control system specifications, design criteria, philosophies, narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control logic.\nDesign and support Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).\nPerform instrumentation engineering calculations and develop instrument indexes, datasheets, and related design documentation.\nReview P&IDs, 3D models, and engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.\nSupport equipment procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and equipment selection.\nDevelop project estimates, schedules, manpower forecasts, and progress reports, while supporting successful project delivery.\nIncorporate health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements into all aspects of system design.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and design teams.\nBuild strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.\nBasic Job Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation, or a related discipline.\n10+ years of experience in control systems engineering within industrial, energy, mining, infrastructure, or EPC/EPCM environments.\nStrong experience with DCS, PLC, SIS, instrumentation, and process control systems.\nProven ability to develop control strategies, instrumentation specifications, and engineering deliverables for large-scale projects.\nExperience supporting projects through multiple phases, including FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.\nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
