You will be technically responsible for the layout and arrangement of equipment for a wide range of international brownfield, greenfield, and revamp facilities.\nYou will be working in a team of diverse engineers and designers located across multiple global offices in a multidisciplinary project environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build and maintain internal and external client relationships are essential.\nContingent Position\nThis requisition is being maintained to identify potential candidates for future opportunities. By applying, you will be considered for upcoming openings that match your skills and experience\nPrincipal Job Duties & Responsibilities:\nDevelop and optimize plant and equipment layouts for mining and metals processing facilities\nEnsure proper equipment spacing, accessibility, and maintainability in line with project and operational requirements\nIncorporate maintenance, lifting, and safety access requirements into layout designs\nAddress material handling systems, logistics routes, and transport flows within plant layouts\nPrepare and review plot plans, general arrangement drawings, and 3D models (together with the Piping Discipline)\nCoordinate and interface with process, piping, civil, electrical, and control systems disciplines\nReview vendor drawings, equipment footprints, and layout-related documentation\nParticipate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and model reviews\nSupport 3D modeling activities using industry-standard tools (e.g. E3D, SmartPlant 3D)\nEnsure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and project/client specifications\nPlan the execution of layout work, track progress, and report to the Mechanical Lead Engineer\nBasic Job Requirements\nDegree in (Mechanical) Engineering or equivalent technical field\nMinimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience\nMinimum of 5 years experience in plant layout/design within the Mining & Metals or heavy industry sector\nStrong knowledge of:Mechanical equipment arrangement and layout principles\nMaintenance and operational access requirements\nIndustrial plant logistics and material flow\n\nExperience with 3D layout/design tools\nKnowledge of relevant industry standards and design practices\nFluent in English, both verbal and written; additional European languages (e.g., German/Dutch) are an advantage\nOther Job Requirements\nStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams\nProactive and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities\nFocused on delivering high-quality results in a time-conscious environment\nAbility to coordinate across global teams and stakeholders\nPreferably based in or willing to relocate within Europe\nTo be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
