Working in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, you will be expected to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and sound judgment while supporting project objectives. The emphasis of the role is on employee relations, client interaction, workforce development, and people management. This position provides administrative, human resources, and employee support services across all departments and personnel on a large industrial construction project.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and coordinate day-to-day Human Resources activities ensuring compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and project requirements.\nServe as a trusted advisor to project leadership by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, staffing, investigations, and other personnel matters in a multi-employer environment.\nSupport the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce mobilization, orientation, transfers, extensions, terminations, and employee engagement initiatives, while partnering with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, and project stakeholders.\nDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, clients, community stakeholders, and local Indigenous communities to support workforce development, recruitment, and employment initiatives.\nCoordinate and monitor staffing plans, personnel authorizations, workforce forecasts, organizational data, and project reporting to ensure workforce requirements align with project schedules and budgets.\nSupport employee communications, training, and engagement programs while contributing to a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture.\nManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment, providing administrative and HR support to project personnel and leadership as required.\nOther duties as assigned \nBasic Job Requirements\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field. CHRP designation or working towards the designation preferred.\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements \nMinimum five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive human resources experience with practical hands-on application of key HR competencies \nConstruction or project site experience is required \nThree (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated complex employee-relations investigations experience is required\nAbility to work in a diverse, fast-paced and dynamic environment \nAble to demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands and deadlines \nExcellent understanding and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including excel reporting capabilities; and previous experience using SharePoint is a plus. \nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nUnderstand main Human Resource concepts, policies, and administrative procedures\nGood knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex nature\nDemonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information\nExperience providing consultation to managers and HR staff\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nProficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations\nExperience using SAP SuccessFactors\nDepending on the location of the successful applicant, the position will either be a local 5 days on 2 days off or a fly in/fly out position on a 14 X7 or 14 X 14 rotation with applicable cross-shift support.\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
