If you value teamwork, empowerment in your career, and are eager to champion innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients, this opportunity just may be for you!\nJob Description\nThis position serves as a Project Material Manager on small Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) projects or may serve as a regional lead for non-project procurement.\nPlan, organize, direct, and control an appropriate portion of the purchasing or regional indirect procurement function or direct the purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing function on a project\nDevelop, or assist in the development of purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing activities on the project or non-project procurement in a particular region\nPerform material buying, expediting, or field purchasing activities in accordance with the corporate Operating System Requirements (OSR) and established project or Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures\nProvide general and direct supervision to the purchasing, expediting, and other support staff as assigned\nResponsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedule\nNegotiate and/or provide assistance in negotiation of large to complex equipment and bulk material packages to obtain best value for the Project\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)\nWorking toward applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)\nExperience should be primarily in the area of material management\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nExcellent computer literacy and skills\nExcellent leadership and decision-making skills\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
