If you value teamwork, empowerment in your career, and are eager to champion innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients, this opportunity just may be for you!\nJob Description\nDesign, develop, and support telecommunications systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.\nPerform system studies and analyses, including RF/WLAN coverage, PAGA coverage, CCTV data traffic and storage, and network bandwidth assessments.\nDevelop telecommunications specifications, design criteria, and engineering deliverables for systems such as wireless networks, telephony, CCTV, structured cabling, fiber optic networks, and outside cable systems.\nPrepare and review system architecture diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and other design documentation.\nConduct engineering calculations and technical reviews to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors throughout all phases of project execution.\nSupport equipment procurement through technical evaluations, vendor reviews, and specification development.\nContribute to project planning by developing cost estimates, schedules, and progress reports.Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and system start-up activities.\nProvide technical expertise for integrated telecommunications and physical security systems across FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases.\nBasic Job Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility for registration, preferred.\n10+ years of telecommunications engineering experience in industrial, mining, energy, infrastructure, or related project environments.\nExperience designing and supporting telecommunications systems, including wireless networks (RF/WLAN), telephony, CCTV, access control, public address/general alarm (PAGA), fiber optic networks, and structured cabling systems.\nKnowledge of telecommunications design standards, codes, and industry best practices.Experience developing engineering deliverables such as system architectures, specifications, equipment data sheets, schematics, and wiring diagrams.\nFamiliarity with all phases of project execution, including FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and start-up.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
