Activities Will Be Like\nIn-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization's strategy, product, and service offerings.\nResearch and implement best practices technology frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase reliability.\nResearch and stay abreast of the latest technology infrastructure and processes in the payment industry.\nCareer mentoring, coaching and development of a talented group of engineers.\nDesign, develop and deliver code that can support new product features/enhancements in an agile environment.\nDevelopment of features and RESTful APIs with an event driven Microservice architecture.\nCreate database schemas that represent and support new products/ enhancements.\nMaintain quality and ensure optimum performance of developed applications.\nCollaborate in design and development with the rest of the team.\nMaintain code integrity, organization, versioning, and apply object-oriented design principles.\nCarry out unit tests of developed applications as well as set up automated testing of applications to ensure correctness, robustness, and scalability.\nAlways maintain code and application security while adhering to data protection and privacy standards.\nLeverage AI coding agents and assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate development, review, and testing, while maintaining code quality security, and ownership of what ships.\nDesign and build APIs and services that AI agents can consume safely: clear contracts, structured outputs, authentication, and rate limiting.\nEnsure personal information of customers, employees, and partners is processed and protected in line with data privacy laws and global best practices.\nRequired competency and skill set to be a Waver:\n5-6 years of experience with Java / JEE / Spring Boot and associated technologies.\nMust have hands-on experience on java 8, multithreading, Jvm tuning, performance improvements.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent Data structures and algorithms as well as creative skills to apply them in solving problems.\nExcellent knowledge of database and ORM technologies. \nHands-on experience working with AI coding assistants/agents to boost productivity, with sound judgment on when to trust, verify, or override their output. \nAbility and interest to quickly learn new languages and technologies.\nExcellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and quality assurance skills. \nExcellent time management and analytical skills.\nExcellent DevOps knowledge including Source Control, Continuous Integration, Configuration Management, Deployment Automation, Containers, Orchestration and Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP.\nNice to have:\nNodeJs experience \nUnderstanding of Docker/K8s\nKafka Experience\nExperience building agent-facing or agent-integrated systems (tool/function calling, MCP, LLM API integration, prompt design
