Collaborating closely with Engineering, you’ll build, deploy, and secure our infrastructure while playing a key role in setting technical direction. You’ll lead projects across CI/CD, our delivery and orchestration platform, and monitoring and logging. A task is finished when the system is more reliable, not when the PR merges\nYou are a curious, proactive learner who explores emerging technologies and evaluates their practical application within our infrastructure\nWhat you’ll do:\nAutomate our infrastructure and operational processes with infrastructure as code and standard tooling\nOwn our CI/CD pipelines, image builds, and GitOps deployments with ArgoCD\nKeep our fleet patched and current, from OS updates to Kubernetes and managed-service upgrades\nBuild monitoring and alerting that catches problems before customers do\nPartner with our security team to protect our systems and customer data, support SOC 2 compliance, and work security findings through to their remediation \nBuild self-serve tools for Engineering to reduce bottlenecks and dependencies\nWork with engineering teams to make our services reliable, secure, and scalable\nTake part in our on-call rotation for production systems as needed\nWhat you will bring to the team:\n4+ years of professional software development and infrastructure operations experience\nDeep professional experience managing Kubernetes in production, including creating manifest templates for services, deployments, and other application components\nSignificant experience writing and using Terraform code to deploy production infrastructure on AWS\nSignificant experience managing the full lifecycle of AWS services such as EKS, RDS, Elasticsearch, and WAF, including version upgrades, scaling, and failover\nFamiliarity with Azure and cross-cloud infrastructure\nExperience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) to streamline development workflows and use them as a force multiplier\nSalary:\nFluxx is committed to fair, transparent, and equitable compensation practices. We use a market-based approach that considers cost of labor by geographic region, along with company size and industry benchmarks.\nThis role is categorized into three compensation tiers based on location, with the following expected annual on-target earnings (base salary + commission):\nSan Francisco Bay Area, New York City\n$185,000 - $200,000 (SF/NY)\nAll other locations\n$165,000 - $180,000\nThe successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on, but not limited to, (a) location; (b) individual candidate skills and qualifications; and (c) individual candidate experience. \nFluxx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
