We specialize in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing and Critical Logistics.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Site/Senior Engineer with a strong track record in setting out, quality assurance and project delivery to join our high performing project team in Skien, Norway.\nIf you would like to join a company who wins high profile projects with blue chip clients and if you enjoy working in a stimulating environment, then Flynn is the company for you.\nREPORTING TO: Project Manager/Contracts Manager\nPurpose of Role\nManage construction works on site to ensure that they are completed safely in line with the program & in accordance with the project drawings, specifications & Building Regulations.\nRole Responsibilities\nAssume day-to-day management of the site technical & engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops, etc.).\nEnsure quality control measures on the site are implemented and are in line with the overall BCAR plan for the project. \nLiaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors in the planning & construction of the project.\nSupport the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure that works are completed as per programme, on budget to a high standard.\nIdentify any information gaps, develop solutions and rectify in conjunction with the project and design teams.\nMaintain excellent relationships with the construction project team and subcontractors.\nThe Candidate\nThird level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer role on large-scale construction projects.\nStrong understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection test plans, quality documentation and defect prevention\n\nHighly competent in all aspects of setting out, surveying, levelling and managing site control systems.\n\nKnowledge of various types of construction and construction techniques.\nCompetent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.\nStrong numeracy and report writing skills.\nAbility to formulate plans and execute in line with budget and timeline.\nAbility to make informed decisions & know when to escalate.\nComputer literate and familiar with MS Project, (or similar scheduling package).\nCareer Path\nFlynn implement a highly structured career progression programme through a continual professional development programme (PDP) and mentoring programme which has been the foundation to our success.
