You'll work with Python, SQL, and Power BI daily, and get hands-on exposure to Operations Research and mathematical optimisation in a live airline environment - supporting the monthly crew roster generation process from data preparation through to output analysis.\nThis is a full-time, permanent, office-based role in Riga office.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\nExtract, clean, transform, and validate data from databases, APIs, data warehouses, and operational systems using SQL and Python;\n\nDevelop, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports, working with Power Query, data modelling, and DAX;\n\nOwn recurring data preparation, validation, and reporting processes, and drive their automation;\n\nActively participate in the monthly crew roster generation process - preparing and validating input data, supporting optimisation runs, and analysing outputs;\n\nInvestigate data and output inconsistencies and support corrective actions before operational delivery;\n\nSupport data preparation, validation, and analysis for Operations Research and mathematical optimisation models, including assumptions, constraints, and outputs;\n\nIdentify repetitive analytical and reporting activities suitable for automation, and build the solutions to automate them;\n\nMaintain documentation of data sources, transformations, business logic, and KPI definitions;\n\nTranslate operational feedback from roster production and crew planning teams into improvements to data, reporting, and optimisation solutions.\n\n What we're looking for: \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or another quantitative/technical field, or equivalent relevant experience;\n\nRelevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related quantitative role;\n\nStrong working knowledge of Python and SQL;\n\nSolid experience with Power BI, including Power Query, data modelling, and DAX;\n\nProven experience working with datasets from multiple sources - cleaning, transforming, and validating data;\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders;\n\nNice to have\nUnderstanding of Linear Programming (LP), Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP/MILP), constraint programming, or network optimisation;\n\nFamiliarity with Gurobi, IBM CPLEX, or similar optimisation solvers;\n\nExposure to optimisation problems such as scheduling, workforce planning, resource allocation, logistics, or transportation;\n\nExposure to machine learning, forecasting, statistical modelling, or simulation;\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or other cloud/data platforms;\n\nFamiliarity with Git/version control;\n\nExperience with Spark for large-scale data ingestion and pipeline work.\n\nWe offer:\nThe sky is the limit growth opportunity in dynamic aviation industry;\n\nMonthly salary ranging from 2000 EUR to 2700 EUR(Gross), based on candidate experience;\n\nExplore the world with exclusive travel privileges to all Norse destinations, plus discounted tickets with our partner airlines;\n\nPremium health insurance provided after the probation period;\n\nGym and wellness benefit, with co-payment for sports activities after the probation period;\n\nModern office in the city center - Novira plaza;\n\nInclusive and diverse work culture we bring together talent from over 40 nationalities.\n\nWe believe that culture will be our competitive advantage.\nTeam Norse has identified three core values that we all should live and breathe.
