The group is now building its US finance function as it expands its US footprint through its pest-monitoring business under the RapidAIMbrand in California and US government-funded research programs based in San Antonio, Texas. This role is a key part of that new team, with primary responsibility for financial planning, reporting, controland commercially focused business partnering for RapidAIM. The role will provide decision support to RapidAIMleadership, challenge assumptions, translate financial performance into practical actions and help shape pricing, growthand investment priorities. It will also provide limited, periodic support to US research programs where required.\nYou will report to the US Finance Director and work closely with Group FP&A, the wider Group Finance team in the UK, RapidAIMleadership and the finance team in Brazil. You will be a trusted finance partner to the RapidAIMleadership, bringing constructive challenge, clear analysisand forward-looking insight to operational and strategic decisions.\nResponsibilities\nRapidAIM\nFinancial Management\nBusiness partnering and decision support: Act as the finance partner to RapidAIM'sUS leadership and commercial team. Build strong relationships across sales, operationsand product; provide timelyanalysis and constructive challenge; translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations; and support decisions on pricing, customer and product profitability, growth, resource allocationand investment.\nBudgeting & forecasting: Own RapidAIM'sUS budget and rolling forecastscovering the US and Brazil, and feeding into the group budget and forecast process led by Group FP&A.\n\nManagement reporting and insight: Prepare accurate, timelymanagement accounts including KPIs, variance analysis and cash flow reporting for the US Finance Director, Group CFO and RapidAIMleadership. Lead performance discussions, explain the commercial drivers behind results and agree practical actions with budget owners.\nP&L reporting: Producean accrual-based P&L view of RapidAIMby country alongside a cash-based report, including device cost of sales and capital expenditure.\n\nBalance sheet: Monitor and control the business’ balance sheet, perform regular reconciliationsand agree intercompany balances.\nInventory & device leases: Maintainphysical controls over inventory(materials and finished goods)and devicesleased\nto customers.\n\nRevenue & collections: Oversee invoicing, collectionsand customer contract terms for US lines of business for US and overseas customers, working closely with the Commercial team.\nFinancial Control & Compliance\nFinancial controls: Design, document and maintainrobust financial controls and processes for the US business, building these from scratch where needed.\nUS tax & statutory: Coordinate US GAAP reporting, lease accounting and federal and state tax compliance, including payroll, sales, franchise and property taxes across Texas and California, working with external advisors.\nService partner management: Manage US service partners (payroll, tax, audit, legal) to ensure accurateand timelyservice.\nPayroll:Support the People Team with payroll compliance for RapidAIMemployees.\nResearch Program Finance Support\nPeriodic finance support: Provide ad hoc support to the US Finance Director, US finance team, and Group FP&A on research program cost tracking, forecasts, audit queriesand proposal budgets when required.\nSkills, Experience, and Education Requirements\nQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with significant relevant accounting and financial managementexperience. CPA, CMAor equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.\nRelevant experience: Typically5+ years of demonstrable experience across FP&A and financial management, ideally in a growing or early-stage US business where you have helped build finance processes.\nFinancial management& control: Strong technical grounding in US GAAP, management reporting, cash flow managementand month-end close.\nCommercial acumen and business partnering: A strong track recordof partnering with senior non-finance leaders, influencing decisions through clear financial insight and constructive challenge, and translating analysis into practical recommendations and measurable actions.\nGovernment contract exposure: Some familiarity with US government contracts or grants would be helpful but is not essential; the role’s principal focus is commercial finance and business partnering for RapidAIM.\nSystems: Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
