Successful candidates will find Flyttr to be an exhilarating place to do their best work and will find that every person at Flyttr plays a critical role in a dynamic, exciting, team-oriented culture.\nPurpose of the Job\nWe are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Support Officer to support the effective management and supply of equipment, consumables and materials to Flyttr's international field programmes.\nThe role will work closely with field teams to understand their current and future supply requirements, maintain visibility of stock and coordinate the movement of supplies from Flyttr's UK operations to international field sites.\nWorking as a key link between field operations and the UK ordering and procurement function, the role will coordinate the receipt, consolidation, storage, preparation, packing and international shipment of supplies. The post holder will also work with colleagues across Flyttr to improve the central management of supplies in the UK, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce duplication and optimise shipping.\nAn important part of the role will be to assess regional and local sourcing options for consumables required by field programmes. This will involve working with field teams to understand availability, cost, quality and lead times, and comparing regional procurement with purchasing centrally in the UK and shipping internationally.\nThis is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys making things happen, building effective relationships with international teams, solving practical problems and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.\nResponsibilities\nField Supply & Stock Management\nAct as a key logistics contact for international field teams, supporting the management of equipment, consumables and operational supplies.\nWork with field teams to understand current stock levels, forecast requirements and identify potential shortages or supply risks.\nCoordinate and consolidate supply requirements, ensuring appropriate lead times for procurement and delivery.\nMaintain accurate records of centrally held and field-based stock.\nSupport the development of effective stock-management and forecasting processes.\nWork closely with the UK ordering/procurement team to ensure field requirements are ordered in a timely and coordinated manner.\nInternational Logistics\nCoordinate the preparation, packing and dispatch of supplies from the UK to international field sites.\nPrepare packing lists, customs documentation and other shipping documentation as required.\nCoordinate freight forwarders, couriers and customs agents and track shipments through to delivery.\nWork with teams to ensure shipments are appropriately timed and successfully received.\nMaintain accurate records of shipments, costs, delivery times and logistics issues.\nRegional Supply & Cost Optimisation\nWork with field teams to identify consumables and other supplies that could be sourced locally or regionally.\nResearch and maintain an understanding of relevant suppliers and supply options in field locations.\nCompare the cost, availability, quality, lead time and reliability of regional sourcing against UK procurement and international shipping.\nSupport the development of reliable and cost-effective regional supply arrangements where appropriate.\nSupply Chain Improvement\nSupport the development of a more coordinated and efficient central supply model across Flyttr's programmes.\nIdentify opportunities to improve stock visibility, standardise commonly used supplies, and reduce duplication.\nAnalyse purchasing, stock and shipping data to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.\nSkills, Experience, and Education Requirements\nExperience in logistics, procurement, supply chain or a related operational role.\nExperience preparing shipping and customs documentation.\nStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.\nExperience working with suppliers and service providers.\nUnderstanding of international shipping processes.\nStrong communication, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.\nPractical, hands-on approach to receiving and preparing shipments.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate across international teams.\nExperience in an international, multi-country or regulated environment.\nFamiliarity with procurement or inventory systems.\nBehavioural Requirements\nCommitted to and passionate about the Flyttr mission and values.\nResponsive to the needs of an international business working across different time zones, adapting working patterns in-line with business requirements.\nPositive, humble, co-operative, and professional always.\nWork with a sense of urgency and solve things promptly.\nResilient and persistent in an innovative and constantly changing environment.\nPlease note that this is a part-time, fixed-term role working 20 hours per week until 30th June 2028.\nFlyttr is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
