The Airport Operations Coordinator (AOC) performs various duties at the airport as directed by operational requirements. Follows established guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport facility.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:\nPerforms inspections of the Air Operations Area (AOA) to ensure compliance with FAR Parts 139 and CFR Part 1542.\nAt the direction of the supervisor, issues runway condition reports and other NOTAMS as required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Airport.\nInspects security access equipment and doors, windows, fencing and gates to ensure security; reports irregularities.\nEnsures compliance with the provisions of the Airport Certification Manual (ACM) to includes, but is not limited to: the Emergency Plan, Vehicle Access Plan, Snow Removal, Pedestrian and Ground Vehicles, Airport Rules and Regulations, Security Program (ASP) and other plans required to comply with applicable local, State and Federal regulations.\nAssists in the coordination and monitoring of construction activity on the airport.\nAssists in snow removal operations, aircraft salvage, and operational emergencies with airlines, tenants, operators, and outside agencies.\nAssists in the monitoring of the Glycol Containment System in accordance with the Best Management Practices guidelines.\nEnsures compliance with CFR Part 1542 regarding access and identification of persons within the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA).\nRecords and reports data for such incidents as property damage, personal injury claims, unusual occurrences, irregular operations (IROPS) and malfunctioning of machinery/equipment for by management.\nAssists with enforcing noise abatement regulations by receiving and logging noise compliant.\nPatrols buildings and land-side grounds of Airport, including the public and lease hold areas of the terminal facility, the public and rent-a-car lots and terminal roadway to ensure Airport safety security and cleanliness\nEnforces the Airport’s Security Program.\nEnsure compliance with the Airport Certification Manual and Rules and Regulations.\nActs as liaison between airport tenants and the various maintenance departments of the airport to ensure timely response to tenant concerns. Input work orders for terminal maintenance.\nPerforms customer service tasks including, but not limited to, providing directions and assistance, maintain a lost and found department, posting notices, and making deliveries.\nReports irregularities such as fire hazards, building code violations, and unlocked security doors.\nAdvises Operations Supervisor of alarm and assists as directed with notification to police and/or fire department by telephone in case of fire or the occurrence of infractions to Airport Rules and Regulations or other local, State or Federal Regulations.\nParticipates in Total Quality Management programs, Goal Setting and performance appraisals.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nMust be able to pass company test pertaining to Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 on an annual basis\nMeet or exceed the required security training and performance criteria as mandated in the Federal Approved Airport Security Plan.\nMust possess a valid New York State Drivers’ License as a condition of employment.\nMust be able to obtain a NYS Security Guard License upon employment.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
