In conjunction with senior members of the team, designs software solutions and prepares technical specifications, taking into consideration the enterprise architecture, including authoritative source specifications; integration and interrelations; enterprise architecture; object areas (including transformation rules); and downstream data needs. Coaches' other application development staff in understanding the design.\nProvides high-quality documentation at an appropriate level to allow for maintenance and extension of the application development.\nEstimation: Provides accurate input for estimates and timeframes for requirements and tasks.\nCoding: Successfully develops, tests, and implements business applications or components thereof that meet or exceed the expectations of FM's employees and customers. Participates on various sized business application development/enhancements solutions.\nThis may be the complete effort on a small solution or for a portion of a larger solution in various sizes; it adheres to informed development/enhancement and established methodologies, architectural standards, and guidelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, reliable, secure, and well-documented solutions and services.\nAnalyses impact of requirements outlined by solution owners and works with principal application developers and/or the solution architects on functional and technical solutions. Has developed a proficient level of technical expertise needed to provide support for systems of varying levels of complexity.\nTest Automation: Responsible for writing pre-deployment automated tests for any delivered code. Participates in testing and debugging of overall system as required. Reviews automated test code to ensure appropriate test coverage.\nMakes decisions regarding where to focus and improve the efficiency, coverage, and stability of automated tests. Participates in coding and maintenance of post deployment test automation frameworks.\nSupport: Supports implementation of applications into production and post-deployment. Identifies technical debt and works towards mitigating risks.\nResearch: Participates in continuous improvement through training, research, experimentation, knowledge sharing, enterprise initiatives and participation in learning forums. Stays abreast of the changing technological landscape and clearly articulates and presents value to the solution organization.\nLeadership: Encourages team member contribution within design and implementation efforts within product teams. Demonstrates and continuously broadens technical organisation and domain knowledge.\nEnable successful outcomes on teams by proactively identifying and raising transparency about impediments. Mentors junior team members. Fosters teamwork and excellent communication among team members. Provides meaningful feedback.\n\nRequirements: \n3-6 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.\nAdditional Experience Qualifier (optional): Familiarity with current technologies used in the development of business applications and the techniques used to analyse and solve business problems.\nExperience determining and using the appropriate technological environments and the technologies, tools, and techniques used to solve business problems in current computing architectures.\nProficient in development and implementation of business applications in current computing architectures.\nProficient in relevant technologies for packaged systems and tools, including database skills, query language, reporting, scripting languages, integration patterns, test automation patterns and DevOps patterns.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability in translation of requirements into backlog tasks and models into highly effective, technical processes and/or business system designs.\nAbility to design and/or code procedures/programs in multiple FMs' primary software environments.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience.\nAbility to work self-directed and as part of a team on solutions of varying size; works well on cross-functional solution teams and shows commitment to tasks, solutions, and the team.\nTakes responsibility for determining how to translate written requirements and/or requirements into technical solutions. Makes decisions with respect to appropriate information technology tools and techniques to be used to solve a problem.\nKnows when to involve peers within the organisation and/or collaborates with the team in order to expedite achievement of results.\n\nMust Have Skills: \nPower BI: Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Service, Mobile, and Report Server. Skilled in designing interactive dashboards, implementing visualisation best practices, and managing deployment, security, and performance visualisation.\nCore Software Engineering Skills: Programming proficiency, security optimisation.
