Together, we’re building a more resilient planet - one innovation at a time.\nOverview:\nThe Remediation Project Manager position is an exciting role in the FMC Corporate Environmental Remediation group for someone with a desire to manage environmental remediation projects. In this position, you will lead diverse teams, directing all phases of remediation projects at your assigned sites and support the teams involved in all remediation and construction projects. As a Remediation Project Manager, you will report to the Remediation Portfolio Manager.\n Responsibilities:\nDevelop and implement remedial strategies for assigned remediation sites safely and within budget.\nManage all projects to FMC safety standards and implement FMC’s culture of safety at all sites.\nSelect, manage and deploy diverse teams of specialists to direct all phases of site remediation projects, including field execution and construction, decontamination, and demolition activities. \nDevelop estimates for annual spend on projects. Meet project budgets, prepare all necessary authorization documents for spending and cost controls. Develop monthly forecasts to ensure tracking to budget. \nNegotiate with governmental authorities the appropriate scope of work, the best alternatives for site remediation, and the level of FMC involvement at assigned remediation sites.\nRetain and manage environmental consultants, laboratories and remedial contractors.\nPrepare and present presentations to partners, including senior leadership, on project status, strategies, costs, progress, and new issues.\nCommunicate with management, other department members, other key FMC stakeholders (legal, procurement, finance, sustainability, etc.), and outside contractors on a variety of matters, including project status and other issues.\nCritically review and edit for accuracy, style and content all reports, correspondence, field records, etc. which are prepared to document project work.\nIdentify new issues and trends on remediation project work and communicate relevant matters with the appropriate audience.\nOccasional travel to project sites to actively manage and assist in the oversight of remedial construction and to participate in key regulatory and stakeholder meetings\nRequired Education:\nBS in Engineering, Natural Science, or related field\n Qualifications:\n6+ years of environmental remediation and project management experience with 3+ years of experience working with federal or state environmental agencies on remediation issues. Sound understanding of USEPA and state agency policies and procedures, patterns of agency action and non-action, and typical responses.\nExperience working with regulatory agencies, required. Previous work experience in an Industrial Corporate Environmental setting and/or working in a facility is preferred.\nPrevious responsibility for overseeing safety, technical, organizational management, and financial aspects of multiple simultaneous environmental projects.\nExperience analyzing project requirements with important partners, evaluating feasibility, and developing a strategy for implementation.\nSkill coordinating and overseeing safe field execution, construction, decontamination and demolition activities.\nExperience managing projects, preferably >$5M annually, and developing project plans and schedules to implement and track project status. \nKnowledge of environmental reserves and requirements imposed by government agencies.\nPrevious experience exercising practical judgment and ability to make data-driven decisions within context of defined processes.\nProficient in using common computer software, including: Microsoft Word®, Excel®, and PowerPoint® and SAP® (preferred). \nAdditional preferred qualifications:\nTechnical knowledge and experience in complex environmental, occupational health, or worker safety subject areas in a manufacturing environment.\nDirect management of environmental, health, and safety requirements, such as permit acquisition and compliance auditing. \nExperience managing capital projects.\nExperience with USEPA RCRA and CERCLA remediation programs\nProfessional licensure and certifications such as Professional Engineer (P.E.), Professional Geologist (P.G.), Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar credentials are preferred but not required.
