The Senior Engineer acts as a technical steward who mentors junior team members while maintaining a growth mindset. This position is responsible for developing, and maintaining complex solutions that align with business objectives and meet high standards of quality and performance.\nAbout This Role:\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and implement sophisticated software solutions using deep expertise in digital technologies (java, spring boot, kotlin, swift) and proficiency in additional programming languages \nWrite clean, efficient code leveraging advanced language features and embracing AI tools to increase productivity \nGather, organize, and refine business needs into clear, actionable requirements that align with technical capabilities \nPartner effectively with team members and cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies \nProfile, debug, and optimize application performance using advanced techniques \nConduct thorough code reviews for junior team members with constructive feedback \nChampion software quality and testing standards across the development team \nRespond swiftly and effectively to production incidents, applying deep technical knowledge to drive issue resolution \nCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to bridge the gap between technical and business teams \nDeliver quality, healthy, and resilient services with appropriate monitoring and maintenance strategies \nMentor and guide junior team members in their technical development \nSet and maintain technical standards within the team \nAdapt to evolving situations and generate innovative solutions to complex technical challenges \nDemonstrate commitment to continuous learning and improvement for self and team \nImplement team strategies for collective growth and knowledge sharing \nParticipate in the squad on-call rotation \nThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field \n5-7 years of professional software development experience \nFamiliarity with version control systems (Git preferred) \nExpert Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies \nExperience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks \nStrong service mindset with focus on delivering business value \nAbility to translate business requirements into technical solutions \nCommitment to quality and continuous improvement \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \nEffective written and verbal communication abilities \nExcellent understanding of Java capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces.\n5+ years’ experience with designing and implementing large scale web services and backend API’s using Java/J2EE, RESTful Web Services (working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger), SOAP, HTTP and JSON technologies.\n5+ years of experience/expertise in highly scalable and available critical enterprise Java applications using Spring core, Spring security, Spring cloud gateway, Spring Boot Frameworks, RabbitMQ, relational database and cloud supported databases.\nExperience working in a DevOps environment in a public cloud environment (Git/GitHub, CI/CD Pipeline, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform)\nCandidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Compensation:\nCompensation range (base pay): $89,828.00-$148,215.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.\nFinal compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.\nWork Environment:\nIt is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week.
