Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization’s success.\nSummary of the Job:\nThe Trust Officer will manage and administer trust relationships and work with an investment portfolio manager to proactively perform investment or market analysis. They will develop, interpret, communicate and facilitate complex trust and estate planning matters as part of the advice-based solutions presented to the customers. They will serve as Trust Advisor with primary accountability for exercising discretion in the best interests of the beneficiaries, executing the terms of the estate plan or documents in which FNBO serves as Trustee, Personal Representative, Conservator, or Guardian, often exercising broad discretion for beneficiaries with competing interests, and managing financial risk for the organization.About This Role:\nFiduciary Expertise\nServe as Trust Officer with primary accountability for the sound decision making in exercising discretion in the best interests of the beneficiaries, executing the terms of the estate plan or documents in which FNBO serves as Trustee, Personal Representative, Conservator, or Guardian, often exercising broad discretion for beneficiaries with competing interests, and managing financial risk for the organization.\nExercise expertise by developing, interpreting, communicating and facilitating complex trust and estate planning matters as part of the advice-based solutions presented to the clients.\nDemonstrate sound decision-making skills, including balancing business risk to FNBO with client interests, including all exercise of discretion in fiduciary accounts such as approval of disbursements of fiduciary funds according to conditions of the trust and needs of the beneficiaries, resolve client issues and collaborate with clients to articulate and achieve goals, in collaboration with Advisor RMs where applicable.\nMaintain knowledge of current trends and changes in the industry with regard to fiduciary matters (e.g. estate planning, probate, estate, gift and income tax planning, guardianships, special needs trusts, state-specific laws).\nAdministration\nAccountable for risk management of assigned accounts in adherence to all applicable regulations, as well as all applicable state laws to ensure FNBO is meeting all fiduciary duties to current and remainder beneficiaries in relation to all facets of administration, investments and asset allocations including managing regulatory risk and addressing the needs of the assigned accounts, in coordination with Advisor RMs where applicable.\nPrepare appropriate documentation to transactions ensuring completeness and appropriate approvals.\nMonitor all account activity by reviewing and validating daily transactions.\nMonitor portfolio of accounts, notify portfolio managers and relationship managers, where applicable, of cash requirements and future distribution needs.\nReceive requests for discretionary distributions from beneficiaries and prepare appropriate documentation and obtain appropriate approvals.\nRelationship Management/Service\nServe as Relationship Manager and trusted advisor on assigned accounts by maintaining a proactive, personal relationship with the clients (and current and remainder beneficiaries) and their families, anticipating and identifying their needs and coordinating internal and external partnerships to meet those needs, as well as addressing the day-to-day needs of the clients.\nRetain client base to deliver the highest service and client contact standards.\nEnsure the profitability of trust relationships by monitoring service levels, fee revenue and the assessment of additional fees for extraordinary services rendered.\nCollaborate with the client's advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to develop and implement a comprehensive wealth plan.\nThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.\n\nMBA or Juris Doctor degree is preferred.\n\nAdditional 5+ years of experience in the Trust, Investment or financial services industry.\n\nPrevious successful effective relationship management experience.\n\nAbility to provide more complex advice and guidance to customers adhering to all fiduciary standards.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively and cohesively within a team environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of the finance industry and the local, state, national and global economy.\n\nAbility to listen attentively to customer’s needs to best deliver a comprehensive solution for the customer.\n\nAbility to communicate confidently with customers and prospects demonstrating poise while speaking. Exceptional verbal and written communication including presentations and recommendations.\n\nUnderstands and contributes to intended customer experience of helpful, easy and personal.\n\nAdditional Qualifications :\nCertifications or accreditations such as a CRPC, CFP, CPA, CFA, CWS, CTFA, CFM are helpful.\n\nCandidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Compensation:\nCompensation range (base pay): $107,552.00-$182,838.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.\nFinal compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.\nWork Environment:\nIt is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work onsite at the posted location.
