The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring security platforms are reliable, well-tuned, and able to support FNZ’s global technology estate.\nThe role reports functionally to the Head of Cyber Platform Engineering and locally to an India-based manager for day-to-day people and operational support. You will work closely with security engineering and operations teams across the UK, US, and APAC.\nSpecific responsibilities\nTechnical & Operational Leadership\nOwn the day-to-day operation and health of multiple cyber security platforms, including:Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)\nWeb Application Firewall (WAF)\nSecurity logging and monitoring (SIEM)\nEmail security\nVulnerability management\n\nProvide early problem management, technical troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across security controls.\nLead incident-related engineering support, working closely with incident response and SOC teams.\nOversee patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle management of security platforms.\nEnsure platforms are operated in line with global standards, architecture, and security strategy.\nTeam Leadership & Growth\nBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of cyber security engineers in India.\nAct as a technical escalation point for engineers across supported domains.\nSupport recruitment and onboarding of additional engineers as the team scales.\nFoster a culture of engineering discipline, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.\nContinuous Improvement & Engineering Maturity\nIdentify recurring operational issues and drive engineering-led improvements to increase platform resilience and efficiency.\nPromote and implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.\nContribute to global security engineering initiatives and projects, including onboarding new tools or improving existing frameworks.\nProvide input into roadmaps, tooling decisions, and operational metrics.\nWorking Pattern\nThe team provides global coverage across two shifts between 08:00-11:00 (local time), Monday to Friday.\nOccasional out-of-hours support may be required for major incidents or platform changes.\nExperience required\n5+ years of experience in cyber security or security engineering roles.\nDemonstrated experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role, including mentoring or guiding other engineers.\nStrong hands-on experience across multiple security engineering domains (e.g. EDR, WAF, SIEM, email security, vulnerability management).\nSolid understanding of enterprise IT and cloud infrastructure.\nProven ability to operate, improve, and troubleshoot security platforms at scale.\nExperience working in global, distributed teams.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.\nNice to Have\nExperience building or scaling a security engineering team.\nExposure to automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code in a security context.\nExperience aligning operational security engineering with security architecture and control design .\nAbout FNZ\nFNZ is committed to opening up wealth so that everyone, everywhere can invest in their future on their terms.
