outcomes.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs an Individual Functional Test Manager, you will take ownership of functional test delivery for your assigned project or workstream, ensuring testing is planned, executed, evidenced, governed, and reported to the required quality standards.\nDefine and own the functional test strategy and test approach for assigned projects, workstreams, or client implementations.\nLead functional test planning, estimation, scope definition, prioritization, and execution oversight in line with the SDLC.\nEnsure testing artefacts such as test plans, scenarios, cases, execution evidence, defect updates, traceability, and closure reports are produced to agreed standards.\nManage functional testing risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, blockers, and residual quality risks for your allocated scope.\nProvide clear, timely, and metrics-driven reporting on test progress, execution status, defect trends, coverage, quality gates, and release readiness.\nEngage with project, delivery, client, and internal stakeholders to agree the QA engagement model, test scope, entry and exit criteria, dependencies, and execution approach.\nSupport defect triage and issue resolution through evidence-based analysis, impact assessment, and recommended actions.\nCoordinate functional testing sign-off readiness by validating scope coverage, execution results, defect position, residual risks, and exit criteria.\nEnsure required test environments, test data, and access needs are identified, requested, and available in line with execution timelines.\nAssess testing impact of change requests and ensure functional test plans, estimates, scope, and evidence are updated through change management.\nMaintain strong test governance through quality gates, functional test metrics, progress reporting, and stakeholder visibility.\nDrive continuous improvement within your functional test scope to improve test coverage, execution discipline, defect prevention, and delivery predictability.\nProvide day-to-day functional test directions to Analyst Testers and project contributors without direct line-management responsibility.\nCoach and support project team members on test design, coverage, traceability, evidence quality, defect management, and risk-based prioritization.\nCapture and share functional testing knowledge, key decisions, assumptions, lessons learned, and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe are looking for a career testing professional with strong functional test delivery experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced client-facing delivery environments.\nStrong hands-on functional testing experience across test planning, scenario design, execution, defect management, evidence review, and test closure.\nExperience working in client-facing test delivery or engagement roles, preferably within Financial Services.\nAbility to manage functional test activities under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines.\nExperience working in fast-paced Agile delivery environments.\nExperience working with distributed teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations.\nDeep understanding of functional test metrics, coverage, defect trends, KPIs, SLAs, quality gates, and release readiness reporting.\nStrong experience using Jira and Xray for test management, defect tracking, reporting, and traceability.\nAbility to articulate complex information in a clear, concise, and stakeholder-friendly way.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and stakeholder communication.\nAbility to prioritize your own workload and coordinate functional test activities across contributors without direct line-management responsibility.\nStrong ownership of personal deliverables, functional test outcomes, and project quality commitments.\nCollaborative working style with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence delivery teams.\nProactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements to current processes and testing practices.\nAdaptability to move between projects and become productive quickly.\nCommitment to continuous improvement and measurable quality outcomes.\nPreferred certification: ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification or equivalent practical experience.\nPreferred Industry Knowledge\nExperience with investment, wealth, life, and/or pensions products and the markets in which FNZ and its customers operate.\nStrong
