The Litigation Paralegal supports the firm’s litigation team by managing critical casework from case inception through resolution, working with attorneys to respond efficiently to arbitration demands, complaints, discovery, hearings, and settlements. This role ensures cases stay organized, deadlines are met, and court filings and client documents are prepared accurately and on time. The position has broad responsibility across case administration, document drafting, court and claims tracking, and settlement coordination, with a particular focus on supporting litigation workflow. By providing strong case management and billable support, the Litigation Paralegal directly contributes to the department’s efficiency, client service, and successful case outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in drafting responses to Demands for Arbitration and Discovery\nDraft responses to complaints and discovery\nPrepare materials and documents for hearings\nFile and service circuit court filings\nDraft settlement agreements, signatures, and fund disbursements\nTrack mediation outcomes, settlements, and tender of payments\nRequest documents from clients\nAssist in the preparation of team snapshots for meetings\nUpdate claims database\nPrepare Response to Notices of Claims\nPrepare Work Authorization Agreements\nRequest copies of inspections and estimates\nPrepare claim for final hearing\nConsistently achieve billable hour expectation set by the firm (including approved non-billable time)\nQualifications\nHigh School or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal required\nConstruction defects experience preferred\nTrial preparation experience preferred\nPrior experience billing time strongly preferred #LI-onsite\nIn support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range for this position.
