We are looking for someone to build the structural backbone to enable rapid scaling.\nContracts & onboarding: Manage employment contracts for all employees (direct and indirect employment), organize equipment, accounts, workspaces, and support relocation of international colleagues.\n\nHR tooling & automation: introduce and own an HRIS tool, automate workflows across systems.\n\nPayroll: Organize and own internal payroll processes, including variable compensation calculation of all sales teams.\n\nCompliance & people legal: Support international hiring (EU and non-EU), time-tracking, collective agreements, international taxation topics, etc.\n\nCompensation: Manage and monitor compensation bands across teams/countries.\n\nEvents & culture: Organize internal and external events (hackathons, off-sites, etc.)\n\nOffboarding: Manage offboarding of employees.\n\nLater, people development: Design feedback cycles, L&D, career development (e.g. SDR academy).\n\nWhat to Expect\nSolo, end-to-end ownership of everything people operations.\n\nHands-on operational work to build the foundation for automation/scaling.\n\nDirect impact: your work has immediate influence on the culture of fonio.\n\nFlat hierarchies: close collaboration across departments.\n\nWhat You Bring\n3+ year of People Ops, HR, or Operations experience, ideally startup or scale-up.\n\nKnowledge about Austrian labor law, payroll, and collective agreements\n\nStructured, hands-on working style.\n\nAI and automation/workflow skills.\n\nPeople-first, low ego.
