Fonn Group is expanding its mobile development team across our Mimir and Saga product lines, and we're looking for a talented Senior React Native Developer to help shape the future of our mobile apps.

The Role
Senior React Native Developer
Design and build intuitive, high-performance mobile apps for media professionals working on the go
Develop and maintain cross-platform iOS and Android applications using React Native and TypeScript
Implement real-time collaboration features and media playback/streaming interfaces on mobile
Work closely with design and product to translate UX concepts into polished, native-feeling mobile experiences
Optimize app performance, startup time, and offline behavior for demanding newsroom and production workflows
Integrate mobile apps with our cloud-native backend services and APIs
Collaborate with a small, senior, cross-functional team to ship features end-to-end
Required Qualifications
Expert-level React Native & TypeScript knowledge
Deep, hands-on experience building and shipping production React Native apps for iOS and Android
Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization, native modules, and the React Native bridge/new architecture
Experience with mobile state management, offline-first patterns, and data synchronization
Familiarity with native iOS/Android build tooling (Xcode, Gradle) and app store release processes
Experience with real-time applications, WebSockets, push notifications
Comfort working directly with backend/API teams to shape data contracts for mobile
5+ years of professional software development experience, with a solid track record of enterprise-scale mobile applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Technology Stack
Mobile: React Native, Expo, TypeScript
Backend: Node.js, AWS Serverless
Cloud: AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, OpenSearch
CI/CD: Modern mobile deployment and testing frameworks (e.g. Fastlane, EAS, or similar)
Bonus Skills
Experience building apps for broadcast, newsroom, or media production workflows
Experience with media playback, video/audio streaming, or camera/capture features on mobile
Background in real-time collaboration or live-sync features on mobile
Experience with WebRTC or live-streaming on mobile
Familiarity with accessibility best practices on iOS and Android
Familiarity with broadcast industry standards and workflows
