The successful candidate will be expected to understand infrastructure at a deeper level, develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules, troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve the reliability, security and maintainability of the environment.\nThe role requires a hands-on engineer who can work across cloud, infrastructure, networking, operating systems and automation layers, while taking ownership of technical problems from investigation through resolution.\nAbout Content Technology\nRWS is a global leader in language, content, and technology solutions that help organizations communicate effectively and deliver exceptional digital experiences.\nThe Content Technology division, as part of our Generate Segment, builds and supports the world’s most advanced enterprise content platforms - including Tridion, a leading Component Content Management and Web CMS solution, and Fonto, a structured content authoring and collaboration suite.\nWe are transforming how enterprises create, manage, and deliver mission-critical content - from life sciences and manufacturing to financial services and technology.\nJob Overview\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy, maintain and continuously improve AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.\nDevelop, maintain and enhance reusable, internally owned Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns across multiple environments.\nManage and troubleshoot Linux-based production systems, with a focus on Debian/Ubuntu environments, system performance, networking, services and security.\nBuild, deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker and AWS ECS.\nManage container images and registries using Amazon ECR.\nDesign, configure and troubleshoot AWS networking components including VPCs, routing, security groups, NAT, Application Load Balancers and Transit Gateway.\nConfigure, maintain and troubleshoot IPSec VPN connectivity, including StrongSwan-based deployments.\nConfigure and maintain nginx services and reverse proxy configurations.\nAutomate infrastructure configuration, operational activities and repetitive tasks using Ansible and Python.\nInvestigate and resolve complex production incidents across application, operating system, network, container and cloud infrastructure layers.\nPerform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring production issues.\nImprove infrastructure reliability, availability, security, observability and maintainability.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manual operational effort through automation, tooling and improved engineering practices.\nReview infrastructure and automation changes and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.\nImplement and maintain Git-based workflows for infrastructure and automation code.\nDevelop and maintain appropriate documentation covering infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, troubleshooting approaches and reusable solutions.\nCollaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.\nTake ownership of infrastructure-related problems from initial investigation through resolution and continuous improvement.\nEvaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to the evolution of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.\nSkills & Experience\nStrong hands-on experience in DevOps and AWS cloud infrastructure.\nStrong experience with Terraform, including modules, state, providers, dependencies and infrastructure design.\nHands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, ECR, S3, CloudFront, ALB, VPC, IAM, security groups, routing and NAT.\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience, preferably Debian/Ubuntu.\nGood understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, NAT and VPNs.\nHands-on experience with Docker, nginx and Ansible.\nProficiency in Python or scripting for infrastructure and operational automation.\nExperience troubleshooting production infrastructure across cloud, network, OS and container layers.\nExperience with Git-based infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.\nStrong problem-solving, ownership and automation mindset.\nDesirable\nExperience with AWS Transit Gateway and multi-VPC/multi-account architectures.\nExperience with IPSec VPN / StrongSwan.\nExperience designing reusable Terraform modules and highly available AWS infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with Linux networking tools such as tcpdump, ss, dig, curl, openssl and traceroute.\nLife at RWS\nLife at RWS- If you like the idea of working with smart people who are passionate about growing the value of ideas, data and content by making sure organizations are understood, then you’ll love life at RWS.\nOur purpose is to unlock global understanding.
