The Senior BI and Data Product Analyst sits at the intersection of business strategy, data engineering and analytics. In this role, you will play a key role in transforming enterprise data into high-value, governed data products and delivering high-quality business intelligence to RWS’s external and internal customers.

You will translate complex business needs into robust technical requirements, design scalable semantic layers that empower self-service and ensure our data assets are high-quality, secure and ready to power downstream analytics and machine learning models. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will manage core data domains and partner with senior product leadership to execute our global data strategies.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Treat specific data domains as products-establishing their value propositions, defining target user personas (analysts, data scientists, business leaders) and managing their development lifecycles.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to understand business challenges, gather requirements, document user stories and maintain a prioritized, iterative product backlog.
• Act as a key translator and facilitator between Data Engineering teams and business domain experts, transforming complex business queries into clear, deliverable technical specifications.
• Design, develop and maintain high-performing dashboards and reports (using Power BI, Looker, or equivalent). Create and optimize semantic layers and curated datasets (e.g., Looker/LookML, BigQuery) to enable robust self-service across business teams.
• Write efficient, optimized and complex SQL queries for calculated measures, aggregations, data validation and query performance tuning.
• Partner with data engineering teams to monitor data processing and storage costs, driving optimization efforts within your product area.
• Contribute to data governance efforts to ensure accuracy, consistency, security and compliance across all reporting assets and data products.
• Author and curate high-quality documentation, data catalogues and user guides. Track and report on usage metrics and adoption rates to measure the health and ROI of data products.

Skills & Experience

• A strong instinct for interrogating complex datasets from multiple sources to develop hypotheses and actionable business insights.
• Strong understanding of product management principles (roadmapping, user stories, backlog prioritization and KPI tracking) applied to data assets.
• Practical, hands-on working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services, specifically BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Advanced proficiency in writing, optimizing and debugging complex SQL queries for data extraction and prototyping.
• Advanced proficiency in modern business intelligence platforms.
• Proven capability to operate independently under broad supervision, identify root causes of data or systems issues and drive tasks to successful completion.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global, fast-paced team environment, promoting a shared culture of data ownership.
• Fluent, highly articulate English communication skills, with the confidence to present technical concepts clearly to both non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
