In this dynamic role, you will be working with Senior Anchor & Editor to produce vodcasts, lists and live events. You will also be a driving operational force behind short form video strategy, managing the Forbes video library to execute organic, sponsored and custom distribution campaigns. As a proactive \"preditor\" (producer/editor), you will also play a key role in the end-to-end production of our original programming, ensuring our content is optimized for a global audience.\nRequired to work in the Forbes office (Jersey City), at offsite Forbes events, or in studio five days per week, with travel to events and shoots as needed.\nCandidates will be required to complete an editorial exercise as part of the interview process.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist Senior Editor in booking guests for vodcasts and live events, working directly with guest PR teams on logistics interview prep\nStay up-to-date on the news cycle and be relentlessly curious about the trends, founders and executives shaping business, politics and society\nHelp produce Forbes lists as directed by Senior Editor; tasks include reporting, factchecking and writing stories\nAssist in writing and producing newsletters as directed by Senior Editor\nAs directed by Managing Producer and/or Director of Video, create video clips that narratively stand on their own, optimized for platform-specific distribution, using strong editorial judgment and deep knowledge of Forbes' content to ensure brand alignment\nCollaborate closely with all project stakeholders (including but not limited to video producers, sales leads, social strategists) to deliver on sponsored campaigns within a 24-hour turnaround\nDevelop and maintain a comprehensive video archive that allows for fast repurposing of content for editorial, social, and sponsored use\nPublish all assigned content across Forbes YouTube channels, Forbes.com and additional third-party distribution platforms. Responsibilities include writing performance-optimized titles, descriptions, tags and creating thumbnails and playlists\nRegularly monitor analytics across platforms to provide actionable insights on audience retention and growth\nSupport the podcast team by posting audio files to relevant distribution channels\nAssist production for Forbes summits and conferences. Lead post-production workflows to turn live event footage, backstage interviews and social content into polished digital assets\nCollaborate with the social strategy team to deliver assets for social-first projects\nCollaborate with video producers to source, research, outline and draft scripts for daily news hits and long-form features\nCollaborate with Forbes staff across departments including social, design, photo, SEO, the newsroom and more to facilitate and optimize video reporting opportunities\nCollaborate with the engineering team on video platform improvements by identifying technical issues, managing ticket workflows and collaborating with developers on feature enhancements\nDemonstrate total command of Forbes’ editorial standards and the 'Forbesian' voice, ensuring brand consistency across all video metadata, scripts and promotional copy\nThe Ideal Candidate:\nExperience reporting and writing required\nExceptional interpersonal skills for working with high-level executives, PR teams and external talent\nExceptional time-management and prioritization abilities\nExperience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro)\nComfortable in a hybrid work environment and willing to put in extra hours during major news cycles or flagship summits\nThis position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY.\n\nThe annual base salary range for this role is $68,500.00\nForbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith. The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.
