We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to build your skills and grow your career.\nRole Details\n Work arrangement: Field-based equipment operation on active construction sites.\nThe Opportunity\nWorking under the direction of a Foreman or Lead Hand, the Heavy Equipment Operator supports construction activities through safe equipment operation, daily inspections, and routine maintenance. You will follow site plans, coordinate with the construction crew, and help keep equipment ready for use.\nThis opportunity suits an experienced operator who takes pride in careful equipment handling and dependable field work. You will operate a range of construction equipment while keeping safety, quality, and communication at the centre of each task.\nKey Elements of the Role\nOperate loaders, dozers, telehandlers, graders, excavators, Lodrils, vibratory hammers, and other assigned equipment safely and efficiently, following applicable legislation, company policies, and site procedures.\nComplete daily pre-use and post-use safety and maintenance checks, and keep equipment inspection records accurate and up to date.\nFollow site plans and equipment operating manuals, working closely with the construction team to understand tasks and communicate field observations.\nPerform routine equipment care, including cleaning, greasing, and other assigned maintenance activities.\nNotify the Fleet Foreman of equipment defects, maintenance needs, and required repairs.\nEnsure equipment is safely and securely stored, and maintain a consistent focus on safety and quality throughout daily work.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nAn operator’s certificate from a licensed service provider.\nThree to five years of heavy equipment operating experience, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and crawler tractors.\nAbility to read and follow site plans, with a strong understanding of equipment operating manuals, inspections, and preventive maintenance requirements.\nExperience operating telehandlers, graders, dozers, Lodrils, vibratory hammers, and other heavy equipment is an asset.\nExperience on powerline, utility, transmission, or related infrastructure projects is a strong asset. Civil construction experience is also an asset.\nA Class 5 driver’s licence. A Class 1 or commercial driver’s licence (CDL) with an air brake endorsement is an asset.\nCrane operator certification or related lifting equipment qualifications are assets.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a construction crew while maintaining a strong safety focus in active work areas.\nThe range shown is the expected base pay range for this role.
