This position will help maintain an efficient and organized yard while supporting project teams with the preparation and availability of required resources.\nThis role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, organized, and comfortable performing hands-on tasks in an outdoor work environment.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nField Safety Leadership & Compliance\nAdhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized yard environment.\nIdentify and report potential safety hazards and contribute to continuous safety improvement initiatives.\nYard Operations & Material Support\nSort, organize, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment within the yard.\nAssist with inspecting tools and identifying items requiring repair or maintenance.\nSupport basic tool repairs and preparation of equipment for field use.\nOrganize and label materials to support efficient inventory management.\nAssist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as required.\nMaintain general yard cleanliness and organized work areas.\nSupport project teams by ensuring tools and materials are prepared and available when required.\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nWork safely and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with team members to support daily operational requirements.\nDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with various tasks as needed.\nESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma preferred; equivalent experience considered.\nPrevious experience in construction, warehouse, yard operations, maintenance, or general labour is an asset.\nExperience working with tools, equipment, and construction materials is considered an asset.\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nBasic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to sort and maintain tools and materials.\nAbility to identify basic tool or equipment issues and support repair activities.\nReliable, punctual, and dependable.\nAbility to work safely and recognize workplace hazards.\nStrong listening, problem-solving, and time management skills.\nAbility to work independently or within a team environment with minimal supervision.\nPhysically fit and able to perform manual labour, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials in varying weather conditions.\nWillingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required.\nADDITIONAL DETAILS\nThis position requires candidates to:\nSuccessfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per site/project requirements.\nWork outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nSupport yard operations based on project and business needs.\nValid driver’s license with a clean/acceptable driver’s abstract.\n Forbes Bros Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer committed to best practices in recruiting and hiring to promote diversity and equality in the workplace.
