They may clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and debris, and remove potentially hazardous waste materials. They will help organize the staging of materials as well as load and unload material providing material counts and perform QC inspections as required.\nCore Responsibilities\nField Duties & Compliance\nAdhering to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations\nCarry and move materials as needed\nOperating small equipment and hand tools\nSpotting for vehicles and equipment\nSite setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and potentially dangerous materials from the material yards are removed\nAssisting other crew members with loading and unloading materials either by hand or equipment\nPerform material counts\nInspect incoming material for damage or shortages\nPerform additional groundman duties as assigned\nSafety Leadership & Compliance\nEnsure all safety protocols are followed, including PPE usage, permitting, and safe work practices.\nLead by example in promoting a positive safety culture within the crew.\nQuality Assurance & Task Readiness\nEnsure that work is completed according to specifications, drawings, and client requirements.\nIdentify non-conforming work and communicate issues to supervision for timely resolution.\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nWork safely and contribute to safety improvement initiatives\nParticipate in SQP meetings\nParticipate in Tailboard meetings\nQualifications & Skills\nHigh School Diploma\nMust have general knowledge of the principals involved in material handling and inventory tracking\nPunctual\nWork safely and ability to recognize safety hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards on site or in office\nStrong listening, problem solving and time management skills with the ability to meet various deadlines\nStrong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner\nAbility to work with independently or within a team environment with minimal supervision\nAble and willing to travel and work frequent overtime and weekend hours to accommodate project schedules and/or business needs\nPhysically fit and able to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting\nThe range shown is the expected base pay range for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on role requirements, experience, qualifications, work location, applicable project/site requirements, internal equity, and any applicable collective agreement or union requirements.\nThis range does not include overtime, premiums, per diem / LOA, bonuses, benefits, or other forms of compensation unless specifically stated in the job posting.\nBase Pay Range\n$17—$22 USD\nForbes Bros.
