Group of Companies delivers transmission, distribution, substation, and related power infrastructure projects across Canada and the United States.\nOur work spans field construction, project delivery, operations, and corporate support in an environment where safety, execution, and reliability matter.\nRole Overview\nThis is a field-driven Project Coordinator role supporting large-scale utility infrastructure projects within our Major Projects division.\nYou will work on:\nHigh-voltage transmission line construction\nUtility infrastructure and associated civil works\nMulti-disciplinary EPC projects supporting Ontario's electrical infrastructure\nThis is not a commercial building or office-based coordination role.\nYou must be comfortable working:\nOn active construction sites\nAlongside field crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders\nIn fast-paced, execution-focused environments with multiple concurrent priorities\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nField Coordination (Primary Focus)\nCoordinate daily construction activities between field crews, subcontractors, supervisors, and project management.\nMonitor field progress, materials, equipment, and work sequencing to support efficient project execution.\nIdentify and proactively resolve field issues while communicating effectively with project stakeholders.\nSupport construction planning and ensure field activities align with project schedules and execution plans.\nProject Execution Support\nCoordinate RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and document control to support construction activities.\nAssist with project mobilization, logistics, site readiness, and material coordination.\nMonitor project deliverables to ensure work is completed in accordance with scope, schedule, quality, and client requirements.\nSchedule & Cost Support\nAssist with look-ahead planning, schedule updates, and progress reporting using tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.\nTrack installed quantities, productivity, and field production to support project forecasting.\nProvide accurate field information to assist with cost tracking, change management, and project reporting.\nSafety & Quality\nSupport implementation of project Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and promote a strong safety culture.\nParticipate in site inspections, safety meetings, audits, and hazard assessments.\nAssist with quality documentation, inspections, deficiency tracking, and project closeout activities.\nRequired Qualifications\n2-5 years of experience supporting heavy civil, utility, or infrastructure construction projects in a field-based coordination role.\nExperience working directly with construction crews, subcontractors, and site supervision on active job sites.\nExperience supporting one or more of the following:\nHigh-voltage transmission line construction\nUtility infrastructure\nCivil infrastructure\nElectrical EPC projects\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting transmission line, substation, or utility infrastructure projects.\nWorking knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.\nExperience with QA/QC processes, document control, and construction turnover documentation.\nStrong understanding of utility construction sequencing, field coordination, and contractor management.\nLocation\nCandidates must be based within the Greater Toronto Area, Chatham, or Welland region.\nRegular travel to project sites across Ontario is required.\nForbes Bros.
