This role is a part of an Application Development team and works closely with other departments such as IT, Operations, and Business Units, to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBuild technology features and functions to progress the product requirements of Forbright Bank’s Digital Banking ecosystem on the distributed and cloud platforms\n\nServe as a core member of an agile based development team, writing code and unit tests, automations, and deployments\n\nMentor more junior engineers and peers alike\n\nBuild microservices using Docker, Node.JS, Kafka, and Relational and NOSQL databases on the AWS cloud platform\n\nWork on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using native AWS or other technologies\n\nWork on developing observability capabilities as part of fundamental technology framework\n\nCollaborate with peers in the development and product teams\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field; or equivalent relevant experience required\n\n2+ years of software engineering experience required\n\n2+ years of Agile scrum methodology experience required\n\n2+ years of CICD experience required\n\n2-5 years of AWS experience preferred\n\nExperience with AWS Cloud, Confluent Kafka, Node.js or equivalent\n\nKnowledge of Typescript, Python and other programming languages\n\nProficiency in facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with tech and business audiences\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)\n\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nOutstanding problem-solving and time management skills\n\nSelf-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented\n\nAdaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment\n\nCan work independently and within a team;
