Customs Analyst
As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Location: GTBC Edo. Mex.
- Review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes to ensure comprehensive activity capture and mitigate risk of shipment disruptions related to customs compliance.
- Review reports on a regular basis to track shipment status and identify potential risks or deviations.
- Ensure shipments cross within target timeframes, coordinating preventive and corrective actions as needed.
- Identify root cause of shipment holds/delays and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Follow up on shipments hold due to customs issues, escalated by the logistics team through to resolution.
- Develop analytic tools.
- Develop performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or similar
- 4+ Years of Experience in the Customs space
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Strong understanding of MX customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export processes
Experience coordinating custom broker and Customs service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven capacity to operate effectively in high-pressure situations characterized by shifting priorities and evolving business requirement
