indicators and alerting thresholds for routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network infrastructure.\nImplement baselining and anomaly detection strategies.\nLinux Platform Administration\nManage Linux servers supporting monitoring platforms.\nMaintain operating systems, file systems, databases, security configurations, and scheduled jobs.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure issues impacting monitoring services.\nAutomation & Integration\nDevelop Python scripts to automate device onboarding, reporting, and platform integrations.\nIntegrate monitoring platforms using REST APIs and automation workflows.\nImprove operational efficiency through automation and self-service capabilities.\nConfiguration & Version Management\nUse Git for version control of scripts, configuration files, and automation artifacts.\nMaintain documentation and change history for production configurations.\nData Collection & Telemetry\nConfigure and optimize Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Syslog, NetFlow, sFlow, IP Flow Information Export (IPFIX), and streaming telemetry.\nEnsure reliable collection, storage, and analysis of monitoring data.\nRequired Qualifications\nNetwork Monitoring & Observability\nStrong understanding of network monitoring principles including polling intervals, retention policies, baselining, and anomaly detection.\nHands-on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms.\nStrong knowledge of SNMP, including MIBs, OIDs, notifications, and security models.\nExperience implementing traffic-flow monitoring using NetFlow, sFlow, or IPFIX.\nNetworking Fundamentals\nCCNA-level understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.\nKnowledge of latency, packet loss, jitter, routing, and subnetting.\nUnderstanding of routing protocols and network health indicators, including BGP and OSPF.\nAbility to troubleshoot connectivity issues involving firewalls, ACLs, and routing.\nLinux Administration\nExperience administering Linux systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, or Ubuntu.\nFamiliarity with log analysis, system performance troubleshooting, and database fundamentals.\nAutomation & Development\nProficiency in Python scripting.\nExperience consuming and integrating REST APIs.\nExperience using Git and modern version-control workflows.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience migrating between network monitoring or observability platforms.\nExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar observability solutions.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.\nExperience with time-series databases and telemetry architectures.\nExposure to cloud-based network monitoring
