This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, combining deep RF technical expertise with team leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for ensuring RF designs meet performance, quality, and schedule requirements, working closely with the System Architect and other engineering disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities:\nRF Technical Leadership\nLead RF design activities across assigned projects in line with system-level requirements and architecture\nOwn subsystem performance, implementation, and technical delivery\nLead design reviews and provide technical approval for RF designs\nRF Design & Development\nDesign, simulate, and validate RF circuits and subsystems (e.g. LNAs, PAs, filters, Duplexers)\nTranslate system and architectural requirements into detailed RF designs\nSupport RF trade-offs and optimisation within given architectural constraints\nTesting & Verification\nDefine and execute RF test plans and verification activities\nAnalyse RF measurements including S-parameters, NF, phase noise, EVM, ACPR, and linearity\nLead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of RF performance issues\nMentorship & Team Development\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to RF engineers\nPromote best practices in RF design, documentation, and verification\nSupport skills development and knowledge sharing within the RF team\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with the System Architect, and full multi-disciplinary team \nProvide RF input to project planning, risk management, and technical decision-making\nSupport manufacturing, production test, and in-service support activities\nRequirements\nAbout you:\nYou’re excited by the opportunity to work with breakthrough technologies.\nYou may thrive in this role if you have some or all the following:\nEducation & experience:\nDegree (or equivalent experience) in RF Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field\nStrong hands-on experience in RF design across relevant frequency ranges\nProven experience leading RF technical delivery on complex projects\nSolid understanding of RF theory, measurements, and practical implementation\nExperience using RF simulation and design tools (e.g. ADS, AWR, CST, HFSS)\nProficient with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators, power meters, etc.)\nPeople Skills:\nDelivery-focused with strong technical judgement\nProactive approach to problem-solving with a resilient attitude towards ambiguity. \nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAttention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality output.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary and pension contributions.\nCompany Share Option Scheme.\n25 days holiday + bank holidays.\nWeekly company lunches.\nFlexible work hours and remote work options.\nPrivate medical insurance\nLife assurance x 4\nIncome protection\nHealthshield Cash plan\nHeka flexible benefits platform\nWe believe in equal opportunities\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
