This role requires creativity, leadership, and dedication to strengthening families and communities.\nMajor Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and retain qualified foster and adoptive parent applicants.\nEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, faith-based institutions, schools, healthcare providers, media outlets, and other stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts and increase public awareness.\nOversee the screening, assessment, and investigation of prospective foster and adoptive families to ensure compliance with agency, local, and state regulations.\nSupervise the completion of comprehensive home studies, ensuring timely, accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.\nManage the certification, opening, recertification, and reapproval processes for foster and adoptive homes, ensuring all licensing standards are met.\nOversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of pre-service and ongoing training for foster and adoptive parents while ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with required training hours.\nEnsure accurate, timely, and confidential case documentation and record management within CONNECTIONS, FACS, ASARA and other agency databases.\nProvide regular supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to Certification Coaches, Recruitment Specialist and Recruiter. \nCollaborate with internal departments and external partners to improve placement stability, increase foster home capacity, and promote positive outcomes for children and families.\nMonitor departmental performance, ensure compliance with agency policies and OCFS/ACS regulations, and implement quality improvement initiatives to strengthen recruitment, certification, and retention efforts.\nMinimum Requirements\nMaster’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university\nMinimum of three years of post-graduate experience in the field of child welfare, with one year of experience in foster care and adoption\nOrganizational, verbal and written communication skills\nSkill in identifying and building a network of multi-level community relationships\nAbility to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends\nAbility to travel in and around the metropolitan New York City region\n\nLocation: 67-35 112th St, Forest Hills, NY 11375\nBenefits: Join the Forestdale Team and Enjoy Excellent Benefits:\nFour weeks’ vacation\nMedical/dental/vision/life/disability insurance\n401(k), 7% employer contribution + 2% match\nTax-deferred health care/dependent care/commuter plans\nFlexible Schedule\nOpportunities for educational scholarships\nSalary: $66,000 - $77,000\nAdditional Information\nForestdale Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is proudly committed to becoming an anti-racist and multicultural organization that stands up for justice and equity.
