Then keep reading - you’ve come to the right place.\nRole Description\nForm Energy is hiring a Staff Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability and lifetime of our iron-air packs and deployed systems.This role reports into our Systems Reliability team, in Berkeley CA. As part of our Systems Reliability team, you will lead reliability test development and design for reliability for several of our pack level subsystems. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!\nRelocation assistance is available. \nWhat you'll do:\nTechnical Leadership: Act as the primary authority on Design for Reliability (DfR) for critical electro-mechanical plant subsystems that support our battery plant, mentoring peers and guiding cross-functional design failure analyses (DFMEAs)\n\nTranslate high-level product goals into rigorous reliability requirements. You will define the roadmap for how we validate component and sub-system lifetimes.\n\nDesign and lead complex experiments to uncover failure mechanisms, determine root causes, and establish methods to accelerate failure rates in tests. Tests will focus on electronics control systems such as PCBs, connectors, and bus bars\n\nBe a champion for safety\n\nWhat you'll bring:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering or related field with 7+ years of industry experience\n\nDemonstrated expertise in developing new tests to evaluate performance and/ or reliability of electrical and electromechanical systems\n\nExperience with testing of PCBs and other electronic components\n\nFamiliar with developing accelerated lifetime tests to assess component reliability across a range of operating conditions\n\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\n\nStrong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills within a group of peers and the broader organization, including remote team members\n\n#LI-Onsite\nHumanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
