You will partner with business, data, analytics, and IT teams to strengthen data governance practices, improve data transparency, and enable trusted, compliant data across the organization.\nThis role combines hands-on expertise with data governance, metadata management, and stakeholder engagement. \nWhat You'll Work On\nIn this role, you will:\nConfigure and administer Data Governance and Data Catalog.\nCustomize operating models, domains, communities, assets, and workflows.\nImplement business glossaries, data dictionaries, and ownership models.\nManage integrations with data platforms, BI tools, and metadata sources.\nDefine and operationalize data governance policies, standards, and processes.\nSupport data stewardship and ownership across business domains.\nEnable data lineage, impact analysis, and data certification.\nEnsure governance practices support regulatory and compliance requirements.\nIngest and manage technical and business metadata.\nSupport automated and manual lineage across systems.\nCollaborate with data quality teams to surface data quality rules and metrics.\nWork with business and technical stakeholders to onboard data assets.\nConduct training sessions for data owners, stewards, and users.\nWhat You'll Bring\nYou will likely be successful in this role if you have:\n5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.\n3+ years of hands-on experience with MDM and data governance softwares.\nStrong understanding of data governance frameworks and operating models.\nExperience working with metadata, lineage, and data cataloging concepts.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nTechnical experience with Data Governance and Data Catalog - Collibra, Informatica and DataHub.\nExperience with metadata management and data lineage.\nExperience with data governance operating models and stewardship.\nExperience integrating with cloud data platforms and BI tools.\nHow You Work\nYou communicate clearly and facilitate effectively across business and technical teams.\nYou are detail-oriented and bring a strong governance mindset to your work.\nYou are comfortable working across business and technical teams to align stakeholders and move governance initiatives forward.\nYou can help drive adoption and cultural change around governed data practices.\nBonus Points If You Have\nExperience integrating data governance tools with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.\nFamiliarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.\nExperience with data quality tools and processes.\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, or SOX.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nData Governance and Data Catalog are configured and administered to support enterprise governance needs.\nBusiness glossaries, data dictionaries, ownership models, metadata, and lineage are established and maintained to improve data transparency.\nData owners, stewards, and users are enabled through onboarding and training, supporting adoption of Data Management Systems \nGovernance policies, standards, processes, and data quality information support trusted, compliant data across the organization.\nWhy Join FormativGroup\nThis role offers the opportunity to help build and scale enterprise data governance programs, work hands-on with leading data governance platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional data teams.\nFormativGroup operates within the critical middle layer of business technology, where applications and systems connect infrastructure to business processes.
