This role combines direct people leadership with hands-on equipment support, overseeing daily shift execution, maintenance activities, equipment troubleshooting, escalation management, and technician development. The supervisor partners closely with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Facilities, EHS, and external suppliers to maximize equipment uptime, improve operational performance, and support production objectives.\nThe successful candidate will drive a culture of safety, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement while coaching and developing technicians, reinforcing standard work practices, and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining manufacturing readiness, supporting equipment reliability initiatives, and achieving production goals through effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead daily night-shift execution, including technician assignments, work prioritization, shift coverage, pass-downs, and escalation response. \nProvide direct equipment troubleshooting, recovery support, technical guidance, and return-to-service coordination for assigned manufacturing tools. \nSupport preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, tool qualifications, documentation accuracy, and equipment performance improvement. \nCoach and develop Equipment Technicians and Process Technicians through feedback, training support, certification progress, and performance expectations. \nReinforce safety, quality, cleanroom, lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and operating procedure compliance. \nIdentify recurring equipment issues and partner with cross-functional teams to support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. \nPreferred Qualifications & Experiences:\nAssociate degree, technical certificate, military technical training, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical field. \nExperience leading or coordinating technicians in semiconductor, cleanroom, electronics, high-volume manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing environments. \nHands-on experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment, automated tools, metrology systems, vacuum systems, robotics, motion control, pneumatics, controls, sensors, or electromechanical systems. \nExperience supporting compressed shifts, night shifts, 24/7 operations, or high-urgency production environments. \nWorking knowledge of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, tool recovery, equipment qualification, structured troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. \nFamiliarity with semiconductor fabrication, wafer processing, assembly, test, cleanroom operations, or other precision manufacturing processes. \nExperience with maintenance management systems, work-order systems, MES, shift pass-down tools, dashboards, SPC, or production reporting systems. \nKnowledge of safety practices including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, chemical safety, cleanroom protocols, incident reporting, and EHS compliance. \nExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, standard work, kaizen, visual management, or continuous improvement methods. \nStrong communication, coaching, prioritization, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance safety, quality, equipment uptime, and production needs. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools; data analysis or equipment performance reporting experience is a plus. \nPreferred credentials may include Lean Six Sigma certification, maintenance reliability training, electrical/electronics certification, PLC or controls training, OSHA safety training, or equivalent technical certifications. \nSkills:\nCleanroom Operations, Communication, Continuous Improvement, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Leadership Management, Lean Manufacturing Principles, Operations Problem Solving, People Leadership, Semiconductor Manufacturing.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience | Required.\nFormFactor Benefits:\nBenefits offered for this role include medical, dental, vision, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending and savings accounts, 401(k), ESPP and paid time off.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nFormFactor is an equal opportunity employer.
