This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, monitoring and optimizing processes, and supporting engineering teams with experiments, data collection, and continuous improvement efforts. The Technician II also contributes to team capability by coaching and guiding less experienced technicians.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduction Operations\nPerform a variety of production activities within a clean-room environment, following established procedures and safety protocols.\nUse specialized systems and software programs to track, control, and document components as they move through the production process.\nEquipment Setup, Calibration & Maintenance\nSet up and calibrate manufacturing equipment to meet operational specifications.\nCarry out routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure uptime, repeatability, and optimal performance.\nIdentify equipment irregularities, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to engineering or maintenance teams.\nProcess Monitoring & Optimization\nCollect, review, and evaluate equipment and process data to perform on-line adjustments that support process stability and optimization.\nMaintain accurate logs, charts, and documentation related to production performance, equipment conditions, and process parameters.\nEngineering & Experimentation Support\nPartner with engineers to conduct tests, trials, and experiments aimed at improving yields, enhancing processes, or supporting new product development.\nProvide observations, feedback, and data to enable effective root-cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.\nCoaching & Team Development\nProvide guidance, informal coaching, and task-level training to lower-level technicians to support skill development, teamwork, and operational consistency.\nPromote adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards across shifts.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements:\nRole may involve frequent standing, repetitive hand motions, and handling small or delicate components.\nWork performed primarily in a clean-room manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to gowning and contamination-control procedures.\nMay require exposure to chemicals, specialty tools, microscopes, or precision measurement equipment.\nMust follow all required safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE and clean-room attire (full coverall suit, hairnet, mask, gloves, etc.) for extended periods of time. \nMust be able to lift up to 30 lbs. \nSkills:\nAssembly Manufacturing, Cleanroom Operations, Electrical Assembly, Electrical Soldering, Mathematics, Microscope Inspection, Microsoft Office, PCB Troubleshooting, Product Assembly, PROMIS, Team Organization, Teamwork, TroubleshootingEducation & Experience:\nMinimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience. Pay may vary in other locations.
