Whether it's improving products, supporting customers, or positively influencing peers and the community, the contributions of our people matter.\nJob Description:\nOverview\nIn the role of a SI Engineer within the Signal Integrity group you will be responsible for completing tasks on time and solving short and long term problems. You will be part of a technical group, responsible for improving SI/PI performance, completing production design analysis, and measurement and characterizing. This role will be working with customers and engineers across multiple sites, California US, Europe and Asia Regions.\nPrimary Responsibilities\n1. Design & Analysis\nPerform signal and power integrity analysis for high-speed interconnects (PCB, package, MLO, probe card)\nDevelop and validate electrical models for:Transmission lines, vias, connectors\nPDN (Power Distribution Network) structures\n\nDefine stack-ups, impedance targets, and routing constraints.\nEvaluate and optimize:Reflections, insertion/return loss\nCrosstalk and jitter performance\n\n2. Simulation & Modeling\nUse EM and circuit tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, SIwave, PowerSI) for:Frequency-domain and time-domain analysis\n\nBuild system/channel models (e.g., IBIS-AMI, eye diagrams).\nRun what-if studies to optimize performance and reduce design risk.\n3. Testing & Validation\nDrive simulation-to-measurement correlation and root cause analysis\nDefine SI validation plans using VNA, TDR, TDT and high-speed measurement setups\nDefine test fixtures and correlation structures\nDrive design improvements based on measured data\n4. Design Support & Collaboration\nProvide design guidelines, constraints, and best practices to layout teams and electrical design engineers\nCollaborate globally with engineering teams and customers\nSupport new product development programs (e.g., probe cards, load boards)\n\n5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation\nImprove modeling methodologies and design workflows\nReduce simulation cycle time and improve design quality\nStay current with:High-speed interfaces (PCIe, HBM, SerDes)\nEmerging packaging and interconnect technologies\n\nContribute to next-generation architecture and roadmap development\nRequired Qualifications\nBS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or related field)\n4+ years of relevant experience in SI/PI analysis and design\nStrong understanding of:Transmission line theory\nPower integrity principles\nCrosstalk and signal degradation mechanisms\n\nExperience with tools such as:HFSS, ADS, SIwave, PowerSI, PowerDC, SPICE, Allegro, MATLAB\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with measurement tools (VNA, TDR/TDT)\nExperience with high-speed interfaces (PAM4, SerDes, PCIe, HBM)\nScripting/automation (Python, MATLAB)\nExperience in advanced packaging, probe cards, or fine-pitch interconnects\nCore Skills\nAnalytical problem solving and debugging\nHigh-frequency design expertise\nData interpretation and modeling\nCross-functional communication\nAbility to balance modeling accuracy vs. schedule execution\nAbility to apply engineering judgement to define model accuracy requirements\nTypical Impact\nImproves first-pass success rate of designs\nReduces cycle time through simulation-driven design\nEnsures compliance with high-speed performance requirements\nMinimizes field/customer issues tied to SI/PI performance\nSkills:\nAllegro PCB Designer, ANSYS HFSS, Cadence Tools, High Speed Interfaces, MATLAB, Power Distribution Design, Power Integrity, Probe Cards, PSpice Circuit Simulation, Python (Programming Language), SERDES, Signal Integrity, Signal Integrity Analysis, Transmission Line DesignEducation & Experience:\nMinimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree;
