You’ll work with our team of engineers to build relationships with suppliers and expand the capabilities of Formlabs to directly improve our products. This internship offers hands-on experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and the successful introduction of new products into the market. If you are focused and inspired with a passion for streamlining and optimization, we want you as a Global Sourcing Intern on our Global Sourcing Team.\nInternship Term: Winter/Spring 2027 (January-April)\nCommitment: Full-time\nLocation: Onsite in Somerville, MA\nThe Job:\nWork directly with current and potential suppliers to keep our material pipeline flowing.\nSupport supply chain risk assessments and contingency planning.\nDevelop strategies to better optimize our suppliers for cost, quality, and supply resilience.\nConduct market analysis to provide deep and meaningful sourcing insights.\nSupport the team in managing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier communications.\nSupplier sourcing, qualification, and negotiation processes.\nCollaborate with engineering teams and manufacturers to ensure timely development builds and transition to mass production.\nYou:\nHave a technical or engineering background.\nExcited to source, contact, and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, cost and capacity.\nAble to work with a variety of teams, communicating effectively in-person and remotely.\nOrganized and focused, able to handle concurrent conversations and projects, documenting progress along the way.\nLeadership experience and exposure to project management.\nEagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.\nBonus Skills (Optional): \nManufacturing and procurement experience\nAdvanced use of Microsoft Excel\nProduct development experience\nFamiliarity with part inspection and corrective action, i.e. Quality Control\nExperience with the manufacturing technologies used to make our printer parts: injection molding, machining, sheet metal stamping, bending, and forming, SMT etc.\nIntern Benefits & Perks:\nFlexible Out of Office Plan - take time when you need it\nSalaried bi-weekly pay schedule\nAmple on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits\nCatered on-site lunches (3x per week), snacks, beverages, & treats\nCohort-based social and professional development experience for interns\nMany opt-in culture events across our diverse community\nAnd of course… unlimited 3D prints\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full-time intern.
