Your application will not be considered without a portfolio. \nThe Job:\nCreating a robust, high-reliability 3D printer necessitates a team of cross-disciplinary engineers who can understand complex system interactions to integrate new features, validate functionality, and test for reliability. As an intern, you will contribute to this process in the following ways:\nDesign and run studies to characterize and evaluate the performance of 3D printers\nDesign and build test setups to evaluate the reliability of 3D printer subsystems\nDebug and diagnose issues with the electro-mechanical systems and work with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Embedded Firmware teams to implement fixes\nPut your software skills to work by writing Python scripts, queries, and making tools to support reliability and characterization studies.\nPolish your time management and communication skills to increase your effectiveness as an engineer\nAssist in building and commissioning prototypes\nYou:\nHave a desire to hone your skills and learn more about engineering design and the process of bringing products to market\nHave worked with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems and want exposure to the inner workings of 3D printers\nHave one or more of the following hands-on experiences:\nLab research, member of a project team, prior internship or previous work experience\nHave an up-to-date resume and portfolio of your previous experience to highlight what you have learned and how you have applied that learning\nIntern Benefits & Perks:\nFlexible Out of Office Plan - take time when you need it\nAmple on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits\nCatered on-site lunches (3x per week), snacks, beverages, & treats\nCohort-based social and professional development experience for interns\nMany opt-in culture events across our diverse community\nAnd of course… unlimited 3D prints\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full-time intern.
