If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.\nYour Impact: \nThe Formlabs Design Team is looking for a Software Product Designer to shape the UX/UI design and development of user experience and interfaces across our embedded, desktop, and web products. As a member of the team, you will collaborate across creative and engineering disciplines, prototype at varying levels of fidelity, and contribute to creating products and user experiences that empower our customers to achieve their goals.\nIf you’re deeply technical and excited to ship products that ship products, we’d love to hear from you.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDeeply understand the needs of Formlabs customers, translating their insights into innovative features.\nCollaborate closely with engineering to refine designs and bring them to life, driving features from low-fidelity wireframes to pixel-perfect prototypes and all the way through to public release-where your work has a tangible impact on our customers and their creations.\nPartner with product managers to ideate, define, and validate early-stage concepts for new features that deliver significant business value and exceptional user experiences.\nConduct in-depth research by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing product usage data, creating high-fidelity prototypes, and validating assumptions with usability studies to uncover insights that inform customer-focused, strategic design decisions.\nConduct regular audits of the end-to-end user experience across our ecosystem and propose impactful initiatives to leadership.\nHelp design, grow, and maintain robust and scalable design systems that ensure consistency and efficiency across all products.\nAbout You:\nHave a proven track record of working on complex, technical products, ideally with experience spanning desktop, web, mobile, or embedded interfaces.\nBring a clear understanding of human-computer interaction principles, executing them effectively and communicating design intentions clearly to collaborators.\nDemonstrate a strong and diverse portfolio that includes early-stage ideation, user research, and pixel-perfect designs.\nHave deep expertise with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.\nThrive in a collaborative environment, where you can take and give constructive feedback in a culture where the best ideas win.\nLeverage a technical background, with experience working closely with product and engineering teams.\nPrior experience designing software for physical products and/or have a background in industrial design. \nBonus Skills: \nAn interest in 3D printing, CAD, embedded software, and/or related technologies.\nComputer Science background or coding experience.\nExperience with Qt, QML, or OpenGL.\nOur Benefits & Perks:\nRobust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs\nComprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)\n401K matching and access to financial advisors\nGenerous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)\nTenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)\nFlexible Out of Office Plan - Take time when you need it\nAmple on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits\nHealthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats\nRegular sponsored professional development opportunities\nMany opt-in culture events across our diverse community\nAnd of course… unlimited 3D prints\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
