This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Admin, and IT teams to develop reliable data integrations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data quality initiatives that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of critical business data.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of financial systems, data governance, and software development best practices. This position plays a key role in supporting business decision-making through scalable, auditable, and high-performance data solutions.\nExpectations\nAnalyze, define, and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, auditing, reporting requirements, and production configuration\nDesign, develop, test, implement, and maintain database and reporting solutions that support financial and operational objectives\nDevelop and support data integration processes between internal and external systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness\nAdhere to established coding standards and procedures, including participation in the peer review process \nEnsure that each data flow has robust audit, data validation, error handling, monitoring, and reporting steps to always ensure accuracy and completeness of loaded data\nProvide accurate effort estimates to the Team Lead and/or Project Manager and project teams as appropriate\nDeliver testing support including the design and execution and documentation of test scripts\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills\nExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\nAbility to work with diverse teams\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nPerforms other related duties as assigned and required\nCompetencies\nStrong understanding of accounting and financial data, concepts, and principles\nAdvanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences\nStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\nAbility to build effective working relationships across business and technical teams\nDemonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment\nTechnical Qualifications\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server development and database design\nExperience developing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and performance optimization techniques\nHands-on experience with: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)\nSQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)\nData warehouse and ETL development concepts\nDatabase performance tuning and troubleshooting\nSource control and change management processes\nThe ability to work accurately and diligently under pressure, on multiple projects within your project timeframes\nExperience with CTE’s and temporal tables is a plus\nExperience with Power BI is a plus\nExperience documenting and following specifications with complex business logic \nExperience with the Insurance industry is a plus\nExperience with IAS (Insurance Accounting Software) is a plus\nExperience with ADF is a plus\nRequisites\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, similar degree, or equivalent work experience\nFinancial and accounting reporting and data -
