This role focuses on device-level security, including secure firmware update, lifecycle management, debug port control, Root of Trust (RoT) interactions, and protection of critical assets such as keys, OTP, and credentials.\nThe ideal candidate has strong low-level firmware expertise combined with hands-on experience in embedded security architectures and secure system design.\nWe are looking for candidates with not only an exceptional skillset, but also an exceptional mindset, willing to go above and beyond to make our breakthrough product even better.\nJob requirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\n\n5+ years of experience in firmware or embedded systems development.\n\nStrong proficiency in C / C++ for low-level, resource-constrained environments.\n\nHands-on experience with embedded security concepts, including secure boot, firmware authentication, cryptography, and access control.\n\nExperience working close to hardware (register-level programming, SoC integration).\n\nExperience with Root of Trust (RoT) architectures (HW-RoT or FW-RoT).\n\nExposure to flash storage, controller firmware, or SoC-based embedded platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of secure manufacturing, RMA modes, and field update security.\n\nExperience supporting security reviews, internal audits, or SDL processes.\n\nJob responsibilities\nSecurity Firmware Architecture & Development\n\nDesign and implement security layers within device firmware, aligned with product security requirements and ASIC security IP capabilities\n\nIntegrate firmware with Root of Trust (RoT) subsystems, including support for both hardware-based and firmware-based RoT models where applicable.\n\nEnsure secure handling of cryptographic material and prevention of unauthorized access.\n\nImplement and integrate cryptographic primitives and related authentication and encryption flows used in firmware\n\nWork closely with hardware teams to leverage ASIC security IPs, HSMs, and secure key storage.\n\nSupport security testing, threat analysis, and vulnerability mitigation during development and validation cycles.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, security assessments, and risk evaluations.\n\nAdditional information\nThe successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to participate in shaping the design of our groundbreaking product, contributing to the development of ultra-secure and high-performance SoC designs.
