They will independently oversee quality control and assurance activities within their assigned region, analyse quality data, provide technical guidance to millers, and strengthen quality systems and processes. The role combines technical expertise, people management, and project execution, with a focus on both day-to-day quality oversight and continuous improvement. This work is critical to ensuring beneficiaries receive a safe, high-quality, and adequately fortified product.\n\nThe Quality Manager will report to the Senior Quality Manager.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Systems & Assurance\nOversee quality control and assurance activities for mills within their purview.\nStreamline and develop workflows/SOPs and conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.\nDrive corrective and preventive actions to minimise quality issues and strengthen the effectiveness of the fortification process.\nQuality Data, Reporting & Improvement\nAnalyse and consolidate quality data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.\nPrepare periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funders, and monitor data quality across tools such as SurveyCTO.\nSupport audits, research, and other initiatives to strengthen quality systems and data processes.\nTeam Management & Capacity Building\nManage team members in their assigned regions, providing clear expectations, workload support, and formal and periodic feedback, and escalating performance concerns to leadership when required. \nConduct interviews with prospective candidates and support the hiring process \nSupport the L&D and wellbeing of team members and deliver relevant quality assurance training and capacity-building initiatives.\nProject Management & Coordination\nDevelop and execute project plans, aligning stakeholders, responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines.\nMonitor progress, coordinate meetings and action items, and maintain up-to-date project documentation.\nCoordinate with external vendors\nOrganisational Responsibilities & Problem Solving\nReview approval requests in line with SOPs and ensure outputs meet FH quality standards before sign-off or external sharing.\nProactively identify challenges, develop data-driven solutions, and document key decisions and learnings.\nPlease note that this job description is a guide to the work you will initially be required to undertake, but does not cover all of the duties the post holder may have to perform.
