Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineerとして、ルーティング・スイッチング・インターネットピアリング・VPN・データセンターネットワークなどの技術を活用しながら、ネットワーク環境の設計・拡張・最適化を推進します。データセンター拡張プロジェクトやネットワークアップグレード、障害対応、自動化推進に加え、運用プロセスの改善やチームへの技術共有など、幅広い役割を担います。

グローバルチームと連携しながら、日本語・英語の両方を活用できる環境です。大規模ネットワークやミッションクリティカルなデータセンター環境の運用経験を活かし、SecurityとCloud時代を支えるネットワークインフラの最前線で活躍したいエンジニアに最適なポジションです。

Location: Japan (Tokyo)

As a Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer, you will:

• Play a leading role in the design and planning of data center network infrastructure with a focus on security, availability, and performance.
• Operate, upgrade, and maintain Fortinet’s data center network infrastructure across the APAC region.
• Support data center expansion projects, network upgrades, and infrastructure deployments.
• Focus on continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and virtualization-related technical issues, both independently and as part of a broader team.
• Provide technical leadership, actively sharing knowledge across the team and mentoring peers where appropriate.
• Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, operational processes, and areas of responsibility.
• Assist with hardware procurement, staging, deployment, inventory management, and auditing activities as required.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support and ensure service availability.

We Are Looking For:

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

• 3+ years of experience supporting or operating mission-critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of network administration and industry-standard networking principles at CCNA level or above.
• Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, and VPNs.
• Experience with Internet Exchange (IX) peering, peering relationship management, or coordination with ISPs and transit providers.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including experience with at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with network, server, and systems monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools.
• Basic knowledge of server virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) or source-of-truth platforms such as NetBox or Nlyte.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Japanese.
• Experience supporting network infrastructure for OpenStack environments or container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience working with or supporting ISO 27001 and/or ISMAP-aligned environments is preferred.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Fortinet FCP/NSE are preferred.

For Senior Network Engineer consideration, candidates should generally possess 7-8+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated technical leadership, ownership of complex infrastructure projects, and the ability to operate independently within high-availability, mission-critical environments. Years of experience alone will not be the sole determining factor in level assessment.
