The payroll team has overall responsibility for the gathering and collating of information from other departments including the process complex payroll items including RSUs and Stocks. Once reconciled, communicate accurate, compliant instructions to third party payroll providers to ensure timely processing of multiple payrolls (circa 27 Countries and 3500+ people) for the EMEA region.\nThe EMEA Payroll Specialist must be professional and confident in working with individuals at all levels of the organization and external vendors and customers.\nWorking at part of a high functioning close knit team (currently of 8) you will be required to perform against tight deadlines, must be highly confidential with sensitive information and demonstrate an ability to build and maintain relationships along with demonstrating solid written and oral communication skills.\nResponsibilities:\nManagement of assigned regional payrolls, ensuring consistent processes followed, any issues resolved, and all employees paid correctly and on time.\nEstablish and maintain relationships with external payroll bureaus, including monitoring service levels.\nPrepare monthly payroll journals.\nEnsure payroll associated payments ie tax, pension etc. are approved and paid within the correct timeframes.\nRSU/Stock option processing.\nWork with the team managers to create, update and maintain effective SOPs\nEnsure effective SOX compliance, including SAS 70/SSAE16 compliance where appropriate.\nEfficient handling of all payroll related queries.\nAssist with the preparation and submission statutory reporting including year end activities, working closely with partners both internal and external.\nWork with external and internal auditors, providing information as and when required.\nProvide support and cover for the other team members within the payroll department. \nWork with project management to successfully deliver Fortinets’ payroll roadmap, including moving to a new payroll partner (ADP) and transformation of the EMEA payroll function including automation and standardisation \nQualifications:\nSignificant and demonstrable knowledge of successful payroll processing.\nExperienced in managing multiple EMEA payroll processing.\nExperience of payroll journal booking and reconciliations.\nDemonstrated experience of identifying and implementing payroll process improvements.\nSolid organizational skills & ability to multi-task, time management skills.\nSuccessful management of vendors to achieve company goals.\nKnowledge of and experience working with SOX compliance.\nPrevious related accounting support experience.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to deliver under pressure\nIntermediate Excel\nConfidential discrete & professional.\nPossess strong research skills.\nCustomer service orientation.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2990,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial Intelligence","Cybersecurity","Information Security"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-04T10:05:55Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 125 · green card filings: 113","filings_12m":125,"filings_prev_12m":189,"green_card_filings_12m":113,"median_offered_wage_usd":157500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)","US Department of Labor: PERM disclosure data (green cards)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0},{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
