This role needs someone who has experienced software testing background and basic knowledge of cloud technique and related experience.\nKey responsibilities:\nWork closely with Developers, Product Managers, and others to understand new features, use cases, and customer scenarios\nDesign test strategy, test plan and test cases\nExecute testing on products using a combination of manual and auto testing techniques. Create, maintain, and execute test specifications and test cases\nWrite and maintain automation scripts\nIdentify, document, and track software defects found during testing\nWork closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed\nDocument release notes, user guides, reference materials and use case scenarios for new releases.\nBasic Requirements:\n3 - 5 years of software testing experience.\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching\nWorking experience on Virtual machine environment, i.e VMware / ESXi, Hypervisor\nDemonstrated knowledge of firewalls, Linux, Sniff, or Ethereal\nStrong knowledge of IPSec, SSL VPN, data encryption and authentication\nKnowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals\nExperience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows and linux environment\nDemonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software\nAbility to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments\nAbility to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints\nDemonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results\nDemonstrated skills in scripting languages, such as shell, TCL, PERL or Python are considered assets\nDemonstrated writing skills.\nKnowledge of database is considered an asset\nKnowledge of JSON API is considered an asset\nKnowledge of Kubernetes is considered an asset\nEducational Requirement:\nA degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field\nThe Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $101,000 - $124,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.
