This position would represent a great fit for IT professionals with heavy experience in Linux Administration, Datacenter Virtualization, and supporting large-scale Production environments.\nAs a Senior IT Specialist, you will:\nDeploy and operate an OpenStack-based private cloud, including implementing measures to secure and protect data.\nAdminister Linux servers (Ubuntu/Red Hat/CentOS).\nMonitor key performance metrics for servers, VMs, applications, and networks.\nIdentify, document, and track software defects discovered during testing.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute tools and scripts to enable automation and self-service solutions.\nDrive continuous improvement by seeking opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency within the cloud environment.\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical problems, both independently and collaboratively as part of the broader team.\nProvide technical leadership by sharing knowledge and best practices across teams and peers.\nParticipate in on-call support as required.\nWe Are Looking for:\n5+ years of experience in production platform operation\nA degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field. \nIntermediate-Level Experience in Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)\nKnowledge in server virtualization (KVM / VMware)\nKnowledge in network administration and industry standard protocols\nKnowledge in network, server and system monitoring (Zabbix, SNMP, Syslog.)\nKnowledge of deployment automation (Ansible)\nKnowledge in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.)\nExcellent ability to organize, multitask, work individually and in a team\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nGood to Have:\nKnowledge in Openstack administration\nCertification in RHCSA or RHCE\nCertification in Openstack\nKnowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc.)\nThe Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $84,000 - $110,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.
