If you thrive on autonomy, move quickly, and take pride in doing complete, quality work, you will fit right in.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEMS & Cloud Feature Development: Develop core features on FortiClient EMS that adopt practices adhering to industry standards, while contributing to full-stack web development across both frontend and backend tasks.\nProject Leadership: Design and lead individual projects, taking full technical ownership and driving them to successful completion.\nMicroservices & Infrastructure: Write and manage microservices architecture to enhance system performance, scalability, and cloud deployment efficiency.\nProactive System Optimization: Look beyond immediate task requirements to continuously identify and resolve system bottlenecks, optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL/MS SQL), and streamline containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker/Helm).\nTeam Elevation: Step outside your core domain when needed-whether that means unblocking a peer, refining CI/CD pipelines, or improving system reliability across Linux and networking layers.\nCandidate Profile & Core Qualifications:\nHigh Initiative & Ownership: A proven track record of taking initiative beyond assigned tasks, driving projects past the finish line, and solving unassigned system flaws.\nFull-Stack & Microservices Mastery: Strong production experience with Python, Golang, and Angular (or equivalent modern frameworks).\nBackend Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask.\nContainers & Orchestration: Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.\nDatabases & APIs: Solid experience designing RESTful APIs and optimizing relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL).\nLinux & Networking: Strong Linux troubleshooting skills across system, network, and web server layers (e.g., NGINX, TLS, proxies).\nNice-to-Have Skills:\nExperience with NGINX (reverse proxies, load balancing, TLS termination, or rate limiting).\nFamiliarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).\nBackground in network topology, web application firewall (WAF) configurations, or enterprise security products.\nThe Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $122,000- $150,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.
