More than 930,000 customers trust Fortinet solutions, which are among the most deployed, most patented, and most validated in the industry.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. GL Accountant with 8-10 years of experience to be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities including preparing monthly GL entries and account reconciliations, preparing and updating schedules and analyses for internal and external reporting purposes, lead cash accounting, vendor management, and government surveys. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong GL accounting and cash accounting expertise and hands-on experience with Oracle ERP, SOX controls, and financial audits.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage daily cash accounting activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in Oracle; Resolve cash management transaction issues within Oracle.\n\nAssist with month-end close including, but not limited to, journal entries and reconciling GL accounts for assets and accruals accounts.\n\nAssist with quarterly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for management review.\n\nCoordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues.\n\nPrepare and maintain schedules for purpose of supporting a variety of financial reports, analysis, cashflow and related SEC disclosures.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation to support SOX compliance and financial audit requirements.\n\nReview vendor setup and maintenance and perform periodic vendor information reviews in accordance with company policies and internal controls.\n\nLead the resolution of vendor account setup issues, driving timely solutions and operational efficiency.\n\nPrepare and submit required government surveys, financial surveys, and statistical reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.\n\nParticipate in financial transformation initiatives, implement process changes and establish best practice to improve.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n\n8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with increasing responsibility.\n\nStrong experience in cash accounting, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.\n\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.\n\nHands-on experience with Oracle ERP, particularly Cash Management.\n\nExperience supporting internal and external financial audits.\n\nExperience leading vendor management processes and coordinating with internal teams.\n\nExperience preparing government financial surveys or regulatory reports.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\n\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship\n\nFortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.\nWage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level.
